I can understand the Brown pick.  He's the most athletic wing in the entire draft.  So that's defensible.

But Yabusele at #16??  Most mocks had him going in round 2.  That's an awful reach.  I'd rather have taken Deyonta Davis who has continued to slide down the board for some reason.  With Brown and Davis, that would have been a really athletic defensive front.

Who is Yabusele??

+infinity.

Danny must know something about who's drafting whom that we don't, 'cause that guy would have been there at 23.

Well he is still young, 20, and shot 40+% on threes.  He looks like he has an NBA body.  Somewhere, probably San Antonio, some GM is p---ed.

Tommy Point!

This is the strangest pick of Ainge's tenure, but hey, maybe it'll improbably be the best. Maybe Yabusele was destined to be the guy who the Spurs draft in the second round that every other fanbase gripes about passing over, and maybe we will have been smart for not passing him over. We'll see. Belichickian. I tentatively like it. (Though I still am disgusted with the night overall.)

It can t get worse

Are they really this dumb at drafting.

Amazing

Looks like it.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Vertical says he's a stash
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

This makes the Bruno Caboclo debacle look like a home run.

Is Ainge really going to draft all these picks? You surely is going to trade some right??

Didn't you hear? All other GMs are trying to rip us off with hot garbage for trades.  Therefore we will make all selections just to spite them.

Yabusele:

Think Sullinger with a better attitude, better outside shot (I love how high it comes over his head - tough to block) but probably not as good of a rebounder.

Given his supposed effort on defense, this might not be accurate.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Simmons is the best: The Celtics just took the 7th pick in the draft at no. 3 and used no. 16 on a French guy sitting in the stands. I'm gonna make a drink.

Sums it up perfectly.

You think Danny makes these picks just to stick it to us meatheads here on cb?  :o
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.
