The #3 pick is going to come down to Jaylen Brown or Dragan Bender

I say Danny is falling for Jaylen Brown and his super star athleticism. I don't think Bender beats him out even with his 7'1" frame. Danny wants his own version of Paul George and I think he gets that with Jaylen Brown. Plus these two guys were the first to be scouted and worked out. I am excited to see where Jaylen Brown can take this franchise in the next few years. Explosive player and shows his dominance around the basket. He's what we need on this Celtics team.

Brown may eventually become a good player, but he is just an athlete at this point. He can't dribble as well as you would like for a wing and doesn't strike me as a shooter.
Reminds me of Rudy Gay, Marvin Williams. Solid players, but too high for the top 3 selection IMO.

Same can be said about Bender. They all have upside, its just a crap shoot who's gonna pan out or not. I love everyone's opinions on here. N they r just that opinions. Anyone of these kids can be all stars whether u think they will or not. Lol

If I were to rank the two prospects I want at 3 or 4 it would be these two. I think they'll both far surpass Murray, Dunn and Hield. They also happen to be players that Danny and Brad would target for this team's growth.

Personally I have Bender ahead of Brown but I could see DA picking Brown ahead of him. If the Phoenix offer of 4 and 13 for 3 is on the table and he wants Brown then I'd take that and use 13 and 16 to move up to 10 or 11 and try to pick up Deyonte Davis

Kayleen Brown may end up in articles about draft picks teams missed and went on to do great things. I have too many doubts though to take him at 3. Please sort this out for us DA.

#3 is too high for Brown IMHO.  I'm not particularly enthralled by anyone who'll be available at #3 this year - at least not at that pick.  if these were the guys available and we had the #6 pick, I'd be a little more interested but I'm still leaning towards using the pick in a trade for an all-star

Maybe Danny feels the same way and is indifferent to any of the guys between 3-7 so he trades with Phoenix at 4 to pick up the 13th pick or at least swap 13 and 16 then trades down again with Denver at 7 and picks up the 15th pick. Then he'd have 7,13,15,16 or maybe just 7,13,15. He'd get a guy at 7 he perhaps would have taken at 3 (on a cheaper deal) and then could likely move to 9 or 10 with 13 and 23 and still have the 15th pick.

I think the best play for this team in this draft is to trade back with Pheonix. Maybe 3rd pick + James Young and a early second rounder for 4 and 13. Then we can package 13, 16 and 23 with a team like Milwaukee to jump up to 10.
