odds of Love being there next year? my vote is not very high.

Low.

The Cavs will trade Love for a couple wings and a pick or two and go on to win 65+ next year.  They will win another title or two in the next five years and LeBron will go down as the best ever.

It was nice believing in the Warriors and Curry while it lasted.  Back to being LeBron's league.  Small ball and pace and space is nice, but when LeBron is at the 4 nobody can do it better.
Yes, future tense.  Glad you came to your senses.

Even if LeBron retired tomorrow, he'd go down top 5.

Now it's just a matter of how close he can get to Jordan.

Given the difference in eras and size, people can begin to legitimately argue that LeBron is the GOAT.

What lebron did was impressive but he needs to keep it up

That's hard to do when you're juicin', lol ;D.

When all is said and done, LeBron will have at least 3 titles, and probably over a decade of Finals appearances.

Nobody can touch that aside from Jordan and maybe Kareem.  Though I think Kareem is more analogous to Duncan.
Knock knock knock. Good morning brother! Have you heard the good news of Bill Russell?

If he retired tomorrow NO WAY he is top5.  He is around 7-10 range right now. Look at the names listed in this thread.

LeBron James passed Larry Bird tonight.  Bumped him out of the top 5.

Next he'll pass Russell, Kareem, and Magic, and only Jordan will be left.

A Celtics forum is not a respectable place to be giving LeBron wank-jobs. He gets enough of those elsewhere.

Preach!

Russell was great, but it was a different era.

Regardless, I don't think you can make an argument for anyone ahead of LeBron now apart from Bill, Kareem, Magic, and of course Jordan.

Sorry, Larry.

As a Celtic fan, you solidly have Magic in over Bird? I realize he has more championships, but that can't be the only prerequisite, can it?

Everybody knocks Barnes but Ezeli doesn't really look like some sort of defensive presence we sought him to be. I doubt GSW will resign those guys.

Lesson:

Being the best team in the league is great, but it's not as great as having the best player in the playoffs.
superstars matter.  Cavs prob would have beat them last year if lebrons second best player hadn't been delladingle.
finally someone said it

Sorry, Larry.

What Russell did was far more significant than lebron and there's going to be a lot of people who disagree with you on bird

Delusional. He will never be better than Kareem, Russell or Jordan. NEVER.
