  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Kyrie the only guy to make a bucket in the last 4min.   Elite offense.   Always been my favourite.

Certainly not my favorite, but this is conveniently being glossed over. He is the only one of the stars not to totally choke at the biggest moment of their lives.

Lesson:

Being the best team in the league is great, but it's not as great as having the best player in the playoffs.
superstars matter.  Cavs prob would have beat them last year if lebrons second best player hadn't been delladingle.

odds of Love being there next year? my vote is not very high.

Low.

The Cavs will trade Love for a couple wings and a pick or two and go on to win 65+ next year.  They will win another title or two in the next five years and LeBron will go down as the best ever.

It was nice believing in the Warriors and Curry while it lasted.  Back to being LeBron's league.  Small ball and pace and space is nice, but when LeBron is at the 4 nobody can do it better.
Yes, future tense.  Glad you came to your senses.

Even if LeBron retired tomorrow, he'd go down top 5.

Now it's just a matter of how close he can get to Jordan.

Given the difference in eras and size, people can begin to legitimately argue that LeBron is the GOAT.

When all is said and done, LeBron will have at least 3 titles, and probably over a decade of Finals appearances.

Nobody can touch that aside from Jordan and maybe Kareem.  Though I think Kareem is more analogous to Duncan.
Knock knock knock. Good morning brother! Have you heard the good news of Bill Russell?

Yup.  The Warriors have just become a historical footnote.  Not unlike the Warriors, Sonics, and Blazers in the 70s.

Just a speed bump on the way to LeBron's legacy of all-time greatness.

What lebron did was impressive but he needs to keep it up

  • GOT IT!!!
The biggest thing I got out of this series is how overrated Curry is minus shooting.

How does he win the mvp shoulda went to kyrie

It's probably due to Lebron getting more points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks than Kyrie in the Finals.

you're  telling me Cleveland wins this series if kyrie doesn't do what he does and lebron does what he did?  Yea, ok

Bill Russell is far greater than your heathen basketball God Lebron James and Bill Russell wants us to be happy.

89-89 and neither team could score until Kyrie's 3 pointer about 4 minutes later.

LeBron is the greatest of all time.

Man.  Amazing series by the Cavs, especially LeBron and Kyrie.

All time collapse by the Warriors.  They couldn't get any shots inside at the end and they lost.  Couldn't hit a shot.  You need to be able to get shots inside or else you open yourself up to this kind of result.  Battled all game and got four or five great opportunities and they couldn't finish.  Kyrie did.  LeBron did.

So disappointed.  I can't imagine being a Warriors fan right now.  Epic failure.  Beaten by a great, great opponent.  But this tarnishes their legacy irreparably.  Empty season.  Totally empty.
Can't let that one stand. How old are you. LeBron James is maybe top10, maybe. I can name 10 better players.

Nonsense.
hardly.

I take Russell, Wilt, Bird, Magic and Jordan over him without thinking twice.

Next rung down I take Kareem, Shaq, Oscar Robertson, Duncan and Hakeem over him too.

That's 10 and I think most people would find it difficult to take him over any of those guys --> more complete and/or more impact on the game when they played
TP. Now that LBJ has 3 rings, he can be in the conversation for top10, but it is laughable to put him ahead of the first 5 and certainly not ahead of Kareem. I put him in the 7-10 range right now.

I was dead wrong.

Did not see CLE winning 4 of 5 at all.  Hats off to CLE. They scratched and clawed back.  Just wow.

Looking forward to CLE/BOS conference finals next year.

Worst two teams in a finals ever?
