NBA Draft Withdrawal deadline

The deadline to withdraw from the draft and return to college was a few hours ago.  Here are a list of players I've found who will return to school, post-combine, and who generally appeared to be actual draft prospects:

Dillon Brooks, F, Oregon
Tyler Dorsey, G, Oregon
Josh Hart, G, Villanova
Caleb Swanigan, F, Purdue
Justin Jackson, F, UNC
Nigel Hayes, F, Wisconsin
Isaiah Briscoe, G, Kentucky
Melo Trimble, G, Maryland
Malik Newman, G, Mississippi State


A couple of surprises on that list -- I personally thought Melo Trimble would stay in, for example.  The draft got a little shallower, but not much more than was expected.

Apparently Trimble wasn't good in combine or something.

I liked Dillon Brooks. He was big time for Oregon against Duke.

Good on Malik Newman for staying in school, was starting to hear some buzz about him rising a bit post combine. Another year of school should be exactly what the kid needs to become a more complete player.

Nigel Hayes' sell job of his future 1000 jumpers a day regimen must not have impressed teams in interviews, hard to get past a down season and a poor combine. If he's serious about trying to become a legitimate NBA player he should prove it with improved play next year.

Isiah Briscoe should see an increased role next year. How he handles it will make or break his draft stock.

Malik Newman is another interesting one.  He reportedly may transfer, which would require him to sit out a year.  That could mean he doesn't try again until 2018.

It looks like Alec Peters, a forward from Valparaiso, withdrew at the very last minute last night.  He was an interesting name for the back of the second round, as Stevens recruited him for Butler way back when.
