 I make no bones that this is my guy with the Nets pick. Best player available as Ainge said well that's Murray at the three spot or even better four spot and pick up the 13th pick from The Suns. With the 23rd pick you either grab Maker, Or trade it for a future first.

 Murray critics can bring it on, tell me how slow he is or that he can't jump, his slow first step. Blah blah blah. Some guys just don't know talent what can I say. This kids got "It".

 The very first highlight at 15 seconds, look at the jumping ability, strength, body control, and finally touch and finesse to finish the and 1.

 Tournament highlights, at 45 seconds look at the ground he covers with the huge hopstep.

 At 2:30 watch the chase down  block, then the strong finish, then at 2:50 sees the smaller Yogi Ferrell on him and posts him up and scores. He does it all offensively.

 My criticism of his offense is a low release point on his jumpshot. If you wanna see him run off screens and shoot it watch this.

 At 1:25 tell me if he's slow running with the ball, At 1:40 he shows you head fake , hesitation then takes on three guys and scores.

 Murray dominated after February 1st of his freshman year  leading the nation with 25.3 ppg. Hard to argue he's the best offensive player in the draft.  More ppg than Buddy Hield in the second half, he did that at 18 years old while Buddy was 22.

 Murray single handedly beat the USA in the second half he erupted for 22 points. The USA had Denzel Valentine, Taurean Prince, Melo Tremble, and more.

 Murray played point guard the whole second half and did great passing and scoring.

The guy is a very good basketball player.  I would have to take him at #3.  I do wish his body was a little more lively.  How is Chauncey Billups for a comparison?

 Murray vs Ingram, at 35 seconds Ingram tries to guard him and gets schooled easily. At 3:25 see why he's a point guard if you want him to be, unreal handles and pass.

Lillard looks like a stud athlete compared to Murray.  Way more explosive.  Murray looks like a pretty unathletic thinking man's player.  I still love his game, but he looks to be in slow motion compared to guys like Lillard.

Is a young Ray Allen a fair comparison?

I really like him too but if the Celtics take him...who is getting traded?

Thomas, Bradley, Smart, Rozier, and Murray...too many guards.

No, young Ray Allen was an absolute freak athlete.

Murray is my candidate to be the guy who rises in pre-draft workouts to start to compete for that #2 pick. As a freshman his production was off the charts, especially in the 2nd half of the year. He put up the numbers with excellent quality shooting. The biggest knocks on him are:

- His passing, which he's shown flashes and his role didn't demand last year;
- His athleticism since he's more "smooth than explosive". Yet he has about a 40" vertical which is pretty awesome;
- His defense, which can be taught so long as he can keep up with his opposition.

Since his size is good enough (6-4, 6-8 wingspan) at the 1 or the 2, if he comes in and demonstrates that he's more athletic than people think he's going to fly up the boards. His vertical indicates that this may very well be the case. At 18 he is still physically maturing and other flaws like getting caught on screens he can easily learn.

I wouldn't be surprised that by June 23 this is considered a 4 man draft in Simmons, Ingram, Bender and Murray.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Murray would be a solid choice at #3. I have a hard time getting super excited about him as he doesn't have superstar-level tools and he's a one-way prospect, but I do think his game will mostly translate to the NBA. Shooting always translates, and Murray is a creative enough finisher that I think he'll be able to translate his slashing game too. Clearly the scoring instincts are off the charts, and he isn't THAT unathletic.

If Ainge wants him over Bender, I hope he'll trade down with the Suns, just #3+#23+#45 for #4+#13. The Suns already have Devin Booker, so it's hard to see them wanting Murray. And that 13 pick looks super juicy.

I would keep going, but I don't think there is much need.  With all due respect to Murray, he doesn't even come close.  After watching Hield play, it makes Murry looks like he's 40 years old retiree.
