  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Taurean Prince
6'8' with 7' wingspan SF that can SHOOT from three and also get to the hole.
His game takes a while to appreciate, but he's the kind of guy that is a more skilled Jae Crower but has a similar attitude whilst having a fantastic IQ.

Looks pretty good at #16 unless someone that should have gone top 10 somehow drops.
Prince looks like the kind of guy who can come in and contribute right away but also improve even after 4 years in school.

I believe Prince will be a lock down NBA defender that can basically guard PG through small ball C. Versatile defensive ability is so important to Brad and Danny.

Sabonis if he slips to #16. If he isn't available I would choose Valentine if he's still there. That way we either get a solid big man or a player who possibly could replace Evan Turner.
Jack of all trades, master of none.

Prince is an interesting prospect, and I like him at #23 a lot.  Regressed statistically his senior year after an excellent junior season. Young for his class. Crowder a good comp, though I'm not sure Prince is more skilled. Bigger though. Defense looks good but as good as Crowder? Not sure.

I'm down
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I really like Prince too at 16 (unless someone else drops). While he isn't a creator on offense, I think he can be a 3/d guy for a long time in the league and give us back up minutes at the 3 immediately (if we don't bring Turner back).

The only way I would pass on him at 16 is if a better shooter like Valentine or a better big like Skal is available at 16.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz

I think on offense, Prince is leagues ahead of Crowder. Prince has some hesitation dribbles, crossovers and straight line drives. You're right that Crowder is a better defender at the moment but I think Prince's length/size and quickness laterally could make him an awesome NBA defender. I think his ceiling is a rich man's Jae Crowder or even a Jae Crowder/Draymond Green hybrid. Tough, hardworking kid with great IQ.
He had a weird senior year, probably dropped his stock a bit, but has been a 20 ppg scorer for the majority of his career at Baylor.

I'd like to think of him as Channing Frye with better D and better half court O.

When was Prince ever a 20 ppg scorer.

hes averaged 16, 14, 6, and 4 ppg over his 4 years.

sorry I meant 20 points per 40. If we was 20ppg he'd be a top 10 pick.

Seems like Valentine, Korky, Jones are the consensus binkies.

I be much more comfortable taking Maker at 23 than 16..

There is a good chance the Suns crave Bender, especially seeing they already have Booker, Bledsoe and Knight (so don't really need Dunn, Heild, or Murray).. TP.

I think one of Skal, Davis or Chriss ends up dropping.  I'd hope for an athletic big man at this pick.  If not maybe Korky or Luwawu.   Pretty good upside picks all of them.

All those guys have good upside, but I'd worry about Skal or Chriss on this team. Seem like guys that need to got to a non-playoff team in order to get minutes + develop. We haven't had a ton of success developing guys in Maine the last few years.

Ideally I'd like to package 16 with 35 and another 2nd to move up to 11 or 12 and get Davis. Maybe he won't even last that long.

I'd like to take 2 big men in this draft using a combo of #16, #23, #31 and #35, #45. one who can come in next year and work to be part of the rotation and one who we can stash. I'm looking for rebounding and defensive potential in one and an all around game in the other.

If we came away with Davis and Qi or Davis and Zizic I'd be happy.

Someone good will drop, it is just a matter if they will be there when we pick.   It is how DA got Sully, but teams will gamble on unknowns like Bender and others.   Some players will drop lower and hopefully we can pounce on someone good.

I would like to see us use those second rounders to move up as well.   No way we keep all the picks.
