On one hand, it's a really tough position to be in if Ainge keeps the pick, because it will be really easy to screw up. Inevitably someone will be great and people will whine for years about how Ainge blew it. High probability there will be someone better taken after #3.
On the other hand, it's the ideal position to be in if Ainge trades the pick. It would be hard to stomach trading Simmons or Ingram, but moving the #3 pick shouldn't upset anyone too much. And assuming Philly and the Lakers keep their rookies, there's no better trade asset than the 3rd pick in this draft.
