Their logic is really messed up.  I don't get it.  Maybe I give people too much credit.  I have never called into talk radio and t hey'd probably think I'm nuts but I can understand why Ainge had heart issues.   Hold me...

So many things wrong with their logic.  Ainge is paid to scout these players and make intelligent draft choices.   Ending up in the top 6 is not  bad.  Plenty of good and great players have been taken that didn't go 1 or 2 overall.  A lot of the teams picking in the lottery year after year are very bad teams with bad management and scouting departments.

Mazz thinks if we get a top 2 pick we have to trade it and it gives us value in trades.  What are we trading for?? Who in the NBA is going to beat Lebron that we are trading for??  Who??? The other bunch thinks it's the other way around that if we land outside the top 2 we have to trade it and no good players can be had..  Again for  who??

They are going down the list of nba players being taken in the top 6 over the last 10 years. The 6th pick about 50 percent of them are good players of course we don't know yet on some of them because they were drafted in the last 3 years. But of course they say it's weighted the other way.

One of their callers would rather the proven player over drafting a guy like Durant because we don't know if Durant is going to be good or not so you obviously trade it for the more proven player. I knew  Durant was going to be good.  This is why Ainge is paid to make these decisions.

I don't miss hearing those guys talk about basketball. Don't drive yourselves nuts listening to nonsense.

I just want to know who this mystery player is we are trading for that is going to somehow beat lebron james.  That player does not exist?

And yes bad players have been drafted in the lottery by bad GM's who are in the lottery for a reason.

Do yourself a favor and change the station. If you want Celtics talk download a podcast, none of the sports radio guy really know much about basketball.

Anything Felger and Mazz say is channeling the opinions of the uninformed. They want a trade to happen because they want to add a player to the C's that they have heard of despite their limited knowledge.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I doubt that Felger and Mazz say what they really think very often.  They say things to get a reaction from their listeners to obtain ratings.  It works for them, but I stopped listening a long time ago.

If it makes you happy I got them BOTH to say they were wrong.

I gave the producer/phone guy the time and date that I was on the air last year before the draft. The producer prob did not check out to make sure, but when I came on they announced me as BLANK from Wrentham and that I was calling back almost a year later about them being wrong about the draft.

Basically, like many here know, I was high on Myles Turner. But my position with them was that the end of the 2015 lottery would be great quality.....there's no arguing that now, even for them.

They didn't even know who Trey Lyles or Myles Turner were when I called them last year......that in itself is very very poor.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
As many others have pointed out, Felger and Mazz simply just regurgitate what everyone has already been saying.

Regardless, I'm optimistic of what Ainge ends up doing, despite how stressful it must be.
"I bomb atomically, Socrates' philosophies and hypotheses
Can't define how I be dropping these mockeries."

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

Felger and Mazz just don't know basketball. At all.

None of the local sports media personalities seem to.  It's really a shame.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

You shouldn't listen to Felger & Mazz. They drum up fake controversy and/or troll local fanbases in an effort to raise their (already great) ratings. I honestly don't understand why those guys are so popular - Mazz knows baseball, but neither of them know much about any other sports. I know everyone hates WEEI, but Dale & Holley are 1,000,000x better than F&M. I could do without Thornton, but overall D&H is a much better alternative to F&M.

For the most part F&M just say stupid things that they know will rile up their listeners and get them to call in. I doubt they believe half the stuff they say. The fact that Mazz threw away his entire career as a real/respected journalist to play Felger's lap dog on the radio has never made sense to me either.
