High Character vs Low Character Draft prospects

 Jamal Murray doesn't play defense.
 Ben Simmons. Wierd Dude, would still love to draft
 Jaylen Brown. One scout said horrible interview.
 Chriss allegedly a punk. Big-time Upside
 AJ Hammons. Big Lazy. Talented though.
 
 Good Character

 Brandon Ingram. Coack K said No maintenance.
 Bender. First rate Human Being. Other worldly generosity, could be the Pope if he wanted.
 Buddy Hield. Awesome kid. #1  character in Draft
 Denzel. Troubled past, but has grown up.
 Sabonis. Intense competitor.
 Thon Maker. Loved his communication, work ethic.
 Malcolm Brogdon. Awesome kid.


 Feel free to add your opinions.  Based on character. The three top guys I'd love to add most to the Celtics and Steven's team are in order.

Genuinely curious about the ben simmons wierd dude thing. Only thing I've seen about him in interviews is that he loves the game of basketball. How is he wierd? Very interesting.

For the most part I don't think we have any idea. We just hear rumors, things coaches say. All I know is that teams take this stuff seriously: hence, why Robert Upshaw went undrafted.

let's be honest "seems like a good kid" is just silly . No fans know how they really are , just repeating what others say, or what you see in a 2 min interview .


We need talent period.  If the team structure is as solid as it seems to be , the organization should be able to get the player to follow what is being taught to them .

i think players like robert upshaw deserve a seperate category.  you might take a guy thats allegedly a punk, rumored to be lazy, or raised a red flag or two in the interviews with a mid round pick, just not your top 5 pick.

Where as with Upshaw every single NBA team said on draft night, Im not wasting a draft pick on you, period.

Depends what you consider to be a red flag. Jaylen Brown is generally regarded as a very intelligent and multifaceted individual. I don't see that as a character flaw, but some question his dedication to the game.

 Couldn't disagree more. An NBA team is very intimate, especially with Brad would Love Chris's athletiscm but wouldn't draft him top 16.

We need talent. Would you not draft D. Cousins better than 5 or not at all. We can always trade promising rookies after a year if they show promise.
