You guys lost me when you started talking about his dad.

His dad was a legend  ;D
Im aware. So was Luke Walton's  ;)

We should take Gary Payton II with the Nets Pick.

Gary Payton II suks

Luke Walton suked

Sabonis doesn't.   Sabonis is like Arvydas but 3-4 inches shorter and not as wide

interpret it however you...

Domantas is as much Arvydas as Gary II is Gary. I just think that listing a guy's paternal lineage as one of his merits as a prospect is kind of ridiculous.

Wait.. Do you really not see the similarities between Gary Payton and Gary Payton II?  Payton II was kind of a late Bloomer, but that's pretty much the biggest difference I see.  Someone's going to draft him late in the first and figure out they got a once in a generation defensive point guard. Averaged 3 steals and over a block a game this year to go with almost 8 rebounds and five assists per game.

I am also VERY intrigued by Payton II. I wish we could get him, but we don't really have room for a PG barring a trade...

Who was the first against? Staying on one position against Chriss is pretty nice.

vs St Martins (relentless rebounder.  Maybe too much , taking away from teammates?  ;D)

Sabonis is so hard for me to evaluate. Such major strengths + weaknesses. I wouldn't draft him at 16 myself, as I feel that we really need shooting at the 4 spot. But if Danny likes him I'll be happy to get on board.

Don't we need rebounding also. Maybe even more than shooting at this state (sully, Zeller out the door)

When will Murray, Sabonis, Simmons  start working out for teams?

Any guesses?

What about Bender.   Celts already worked out Zhaou , Brogdon

he's some weird combination of Tiago Splitter and Tristan Thompson.
I just wish he had his dad's bounce at 20yo

Finally has worked out for the Celtics.

Good news! Seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. Interesting that he is only working out for 4 teams; Celtics, Raptors, Phoenix and Utah. That's picks 16, 9, 13, 12 respectively. No workouts for Milwaukee, Orlando, Chicago and Denver?

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
To get a private workout he must be viewed around the league as a lottery prospect.

I love his rebounding. He could help us walk away from Sullinger with a player that shares a lot of his traits. He has the same rebounding ability, basketball IQ and passing ability as Sully without any of the weight issues.

My concern is that his length will prevent him from protecting the basket or finishing consistently around the hoop (also an issue for Sully), but if he can be in the right position that can make up for a lack of wingspan when protecting the paint. In the current NBA I want my bigs to either shoot or be able to protect the paint. Sabonis adding a jump shot will be huge for him.

Will he be able to add weight to his frame? I don't think he has the quickness to guard current day 4's in the NBA, so I'd like to see him bulk up and become an undersized center.

I go back and fourth on him, but in the end I'm not sure how I would feel if we got him at 16.

DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19
