OK guys. I'm just speculating here but I did hear a rumor but I didn't post the link because of the last time it was more click bait then anything. But there is hearsay around the association that Larry Bird wants to move on from Paul George and rebuild. Paul George has expressed his unpleasure playing the four. I can see Bird working with Ainge here they have kept things close. Paul could be used at small forward and Crowder at the four n keep everyone happy. If u guys want me to post the link I will but I'm just taking this with a grain of salt as of right now. I would love to see Paul George in Celtic Green I don't know about u guys...

So PG13 showed his "unpleasure" playing the four, and ya want him to play the four here? And Crowder playing the four?

Or did you mean PG13 can play the three here?

If I were Larry there is no way I would trade PG. Even for the #1 pick. But if we can get him here, we should do whatever it takes. Way more willing to overpay for him than for Butler, or even Griffin.

I agree. One would have to think we'd be giving up more then one Brooklyn pick for this one. If not all 3.

You may be right but I'm also hearing the Lakers are willing to trade their pick for him and other assets. If this is true and LA gets into a bidding war with Boston, I'd think Boston wins that bidding war, one, we have way more assets and two, Bird is in charge and he don't exactly like LA and would most likely get more out of Danny Ainge then he would Mitch Kupchack. It could get interesting. Something to keep an eye on for sure...

So who knows. If I were Bird I wouldn't trade Paul George to the Lakers for their pick. Lakers may not even have a pick if it falls to #4 the Sixer's would get it. If this lottery is fixed this would be the year LA gets #1. If I were Bird and the Celtics get a top 2 pick, I'd demand the Brooklyn pick, 17 swap and the 18 unprotected. And if I were Ainge as crazy as it sounds, I'd give it.

There is zero chance Paul George gets traded

Ainge should trade ALL of the Brooklyn picks for George if he can---Highly doubt that Bird would deal him to the Lakers....especially if Danny has more assets.

Once Larry hires a new coach---George should be staying put---and the new coach will play him at Small Forward.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.
