Send the 8, the 2018 Brooklyn pick, Smart and Olynyk to Philly for Okafor. No interest in another offensively-challenged center like No Knees Noel.

I am with you on liking Okafor but that seems like too much.  I think we could get him for less.

As far as my ideal draft night, that would be getting Simmons.

It won't happen on draft night per se but then we sign Durant.

Then trade for Okafor (Dallas pick, BKN 2018, Rozier).

I am not greedy.

Drafting Ben Simmons and having him work out as an impact player as a rookie right away.  We've won titles every way but drafting a superstar #1.  I think that would be a fun experience.

Ideally we'd also give a low ball trade to the Bulls for Butler and also sign Durant as an FA, but drafting Simmons is huge.  Zizic and/or Luwawu would also be great.

I am not sure I understand this.  We drafted Larry Bird.  Not #1, but we drafted him.  We also drafted Kevin McHale.  That is building a team by the draft.

Would it be any less perfect if we get the second pick and for some reason Ingram goes #1?  Does it make any difference that Durant was drafted #2?

I guess it is kind of exciting to have the #1 pick and have it work out but the order of the draft seems secondary.
