Just about every player could fit into CBS system, because CBS is a great coach, but here are a few that stick out to me as great fits.

1. Ben Simmons - positionless basketball and maximizing strengths is CBS forte. CBS focuses on what players can do, not what they can't. Simmons can do almost everything at an elite level.
2. Denzel Valentine - For the same reasons as above, but also because CBS values IQ and toughness. Valentine could play 1-4 in the NBA.
3. Jarrod Utthoff - Utthoff is surprisingly athletic. He can shoot the three, defend the rim, and defend multiple positions as a "swing player." Essentially similar to Jerebko, but with more rim protection.
4. Michael Gbinije - Versatile, athletic, tough, and good defender.

Like I said, going through the draft, I could see a lot of players that could fit in well in CBS system, but these guys stood out to me.

Anyone stand out to you?

Deandre Bembry is one name I haven't looked at before that stands out to me as I peruse the DX mock draft.  Needs to learn to shoot, but rebounds and passes well for his size / position, which I think is a good indicator for a "Stevens" player.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Jaylen Brown.  Simmons also just because he's just a really good player.

Nice one. I had my eye on him last year as a second rounder. His assists were up and turnovers down this past season, but his shooting tanked a bit.

He's young and raw, but I think Marquis Chriss is well on his way towards becoming the kind of versatile player that Stevens seems to appreciate.

He's a versatile scorer, both inside and outside.  He can drive and attack and play above the rim and he can hit the three point shot.   He's become a very good pick & roll man and can cut or shoot when off the ball.   And while he's still raw, he is a physical freak who has the potential to be a versatile defender who could switch from 3-4-5.

Not a great passer, but he does have great hands.  He's been mainly asked to be a finisher in his young career anyway.

Stevens like's big physical versatile guards and players that can play multiple positions.  Bigs that are interchangeable and can spread the floor and fight for rebounds. He had Hayward so I guess he likes players like that too. I think Stevens just likes good players and will make them play to their strengths.

Very nice.  I have to admit, I somehow haven't looked into him, despite browsing up and down the draft ranks for the last couple years.

Needs bring the 3PT% up a bit, but everything else looks solid.  Even with the low 3PT%, he still posted a 54% TS%.  Nice passing numbers.   Not real long, but not small either, for a 3.

I'll try to watch some of his vids.

The most Stevens-esque players in this draft have excellent talent levels and give a solid effort every time.

Everything else he can work with and coach up

Dragan Bender, potential to be a plus defender against multiple positions with the mobility and lateral quickness to switch onto guards defending the pick and roll, supposedly a hard worker with a high BBIQ and motor, willing passer, potential three-point shooter.  His shooting may not pan out and he could still be a legit NBA role player based on defense and hustle.  If he has NBA offense, he could be a star.

I really like Marquese physically. But does he have the chip on the shoulder that Brad (and Danny) look for in a player?  From afar...it doesn't seem like it.

If that edginess comes across during the workouts and interviews, he could be a star.

A.J. Hammons PF/C he protects the rim rebounds blocks shots over 70% from the charity stripe and shoots very well from 3.

Buddy Hield if one of Smart or Bradley has to go. Guy is a leader on the court. Might not be a defensive menace as Smart or AB but  like Smart, he brings energy every night.

I think he's a huge steal. He can make Evan Turner expendable.

Anyone who can guard multiple positions, hit 3's, drive close outs and play in the pick & roll. According to the scouting reports Dragan Bender fits all these criteria, but we won't know for sure until we actually see him play.
