This series is over.

I bet we win at home. Crowd is just too crazy

but then yeah

OK realistically you weren't expecting the Celts to win it all did you lol

we just need to be happy we won 2 games.  Good to build on for next season.

But some changes def is in order

Zeller, Sullinger need to go.  James young sent to the china league

RJ Hunter imo has been brutal.

Add some help

So Sully had 10 points and many people want to blame IT4 for this loss and not Sully...confusing.  ???

There's plenty of blame to go around

No one person to blame tonight. Certainly IT, Sully, Crowder, and KO were no-shows. Turner, Smart, and JJ only slightly better. I want to know why in the world Amir played so little.

Hopefully next year they can win a game on the road in the playoffs. Just too many green guys that have never been in this position before.
they were in the playoffs last year.  all of the key players.  this is not something new.

That team has no business making the playoffs last year. These guys are just finding out to win in the playoffs. Atlanta can tell you that back in '08.
that Atlanta team had more talent and were up against the C's juggernaut and played a lot tougher than the C's are playing in this series.  not seeing the correlation other than the same 2 franchises.

the idea of the C's making the playoffs last year was to gain some experience so they wouldn't be like deer in the headlights if they made it this year.  unfortunately, that prior experience doesn't seem to be helping

Helping what, beat a team that has more guys that can make baskets? The C's won 2 games already. I'd say they've done pretty well all things considering.

That Hawks team got destroyed in every game in Boston btw.
as the C's have been getting in Atlanta this year by a team that is nowhere near the level of that C's team.

bottom line, I didn't expect them to win this series but I did expect them to tightly contest each game.  that's not happening.

They were hitting everything because they were open. The defense has to tighten up. Atlanta did great on Isaiah today. Brad has to go back to what helped get Isaiah open in the Boston games.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Frankly, I don't think a single player is immune from blame tonight. Usually we can take solace in a nice performance from at least one guy, but tonight was just awful, from IT to Young to CBS.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

IT was bad but he was forced to create the offense out of thin air

hawks had all eyes on him and the other guys on the celts squad couldn't make a bucket

Crowder should be able to make buckets now but can't

We got 2 solid bench units plus IT.    Lets face the facts

No one person to blame tonight. Certainly IT, Sully, Crowder, and KO were no-shows. Turner, Smart, and JJ only slightly better. I want to know why in the world Amir played so little.

It's a good question.

Amir was honestly the only player on the team who really played well tonight.  Smart and JJ were probably the next best, followed by maybe turner.

KO struggled, but he's injured so he has an excuse at least.

Sully, Crowder and IT really hurt us.

IT just didn't look aggressive as he normally is - all night he looked like he was playing to pass, rather then being aggressive and looking to score. I thought he got a bunch of looks that he normally would have taken, but just kept passing them up to other guys who didn't have looks that were any better.

Crowder played good in other areas, but his three point chucking is really killing us.  It feels like he is taking 5-7 threes every night and lucky to hit one of them.  I get he isn't healthy and so his shot isn't here - if you know that's the case, then stop throwing up contested threes early in the shot clock.  Just don't do it.  Simple.

As for Sully...what can I say.  He hit a couple of shots and looked less bad then he did in all the other games so far (I say less bad, because he didn't at all look good), but his defence was so horrible that I think he gave up at least twice as many points as he scored.  We had control of the game for the most part until Sully game into the game, and the Hawks got (and made) about 4 or 5 straight wide open looks.  I feel like most of those were from lazy contests from Sully.  Not to mention that Horford posts up Sully and (of course) managed to score effortlessly - yet was completely incapable of scoring against any other Celtic big.  Just cannot afford to play Sully at all the way he is defending - he needs to be benched indefinitely, and then let him walk in free agency.

Don't want to see him on a basketball court in a Celtic jersey ever again.

And some say Sully would be the next Kevin Love double-double machine...all in the past now lol.

Back down to earth with this team.  We need to add talent in a really creative way somehow.   All these draft picks are starting to look really necessary. Hopefully ainge can build something really good here.

Agree with everything. Aside from amir, smart and jerebko, nobody played decent. Sully and ET was esp bad, that 3rd quarter run was solely on them.

Sully scored some buckets and shot efficiently, but he can't board anymore.

The Hawks wanted this one more than us.   Their D shut us down to a large extent.  We live and DIE by the three.  When you shoot 24% from it things are not going to go well.
