I still think we can win but we have some hard fought games ahead of us.

I don't feel much different about this team today than I have all season. every win is this monumental achievement and every loss is a reminder that we don't have a star.

I'm feeling pretty confident we'll probably lose the series in Atlanta. I think we've had to lean on the emotion of playing at home a lil too much and play out of our mind...just to barely beat this team. and if this is a home-court series and it is then this was our lesson for this season.

with that said I wouldn't be surprised if we take it to 7 at all. we definitely have some things going for us like for a team with one of it's best players out and others banged up we are a flexible team and we adapt. also in our favor is the fact that this is still Atlanta and they usually have a meltdown.

This series reminds me of the 1stround of 08, when we went 7 with Atlanta.

Bottom line, we need to get one on the road, they don't.

Original prediction- Hawks in 7.  Current prediction- Gotta win 2 more games.
The most interesting development to me is the Celtics seem to have another defensive gear the Atlanta as yet hasn't been able to deal with.  Let's hope that continues.

Remember when people said they cared more about match up than home court advantage? I think we've come to a conclusion on that debate. Always take home court!!

Anyway: I thought it would be Hawks in 6
Then I thought Hawks in 5

Now I am almost positive it goes to game 7, and I have no clue. I guess I will go with my heart and pick the Celts.

Go Celts Go.

The thing is Id rather play the heat or the hornets on the road, than Atlanta at home.

However, atlanta on the road is the worst of both worlds.

We need to go into ATL the very next game, punch em' in the mouth and take game 5 from them. They are on their heels.

We survived Milsap's best punch.

If we can take game 5 I think we'll take the fight out of them.

I believe momentum is in our favor, now - especially after Milsap ran out of gas AND Smart's effort against him.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I think whoever wins game 5 will also win game 6 (and also take the series). The Cs have momentum right now - let's hope we can take that into Atlanta and get the win...like we almost did on game 1.

Imagine if we beat the Hawks, The Pacers beat Toronto and The Hornets beat The Heat.  We could be at home!

IT nods his head in agreement.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I think we'd be leading 3-1 against Charlotte or Miami right now regardless of home court advantage. We also would be looking at a very, very beatable Toronto team in the next round rather than a difficult matchup with Cleveland.

It's always been winnable.  We could be up 3-1 in this series.

That last game should have rattled Atlanta.  They had us backed into a corner and blew it.

Hawks in 7.  Turns out I was right to mistrust my instinctual pick, though, which was Hawks in 5.

The last two games were a blast. Hope we see three more just as exciting.
