He was huge in the last two games.  CelticsBlog's recap didn't mention him at all.  Way to step up, Jonas.

I also think Evan Turner gets continually overlooked and over criticized.

17 points, 7 assists, 2 rebounds, 5 steals, 1 block in game 3.
17 points, 6 assists, 7 rebounds, 1 steal, 2 blocks in game 4.

He's been solid.

Big team effort from everyone I thought. AJ, Turner, Sully, JJ, Smart, Rozier, IT, and Crowder had a moment. Hell even KO tried to help. Full team effort.

Game 3 he took 14 shots and 6 FT to get to 17. He also had 5 TO.
Last game he took 19 shots and 4 FT to get that 17. He also had 4 TO.

He contributed a lot, but just mentioning counting stats doesn't give the full story with ET, who is shooting 38% in the playoffs.

Smart is shooting 38% from the playoffs too.  Turner hasn't been perfect, but he's been a huge contributor.  We don't have a ton of guys who can create their own shots.  Smart and Turner can do it, but neither is very efficient.

Agreed, it's easy to forget it because of the overtime but Jerebko's 3 at the near end of the 4th quarter was HUGE. It basically saved us from losing the game on the two Teague consecutive 3's. Plus, I love the fact that when every player on the team was obviously scared of taking the shot, he took his with confidence.

Great to see Jonas and Turner producing on a big stage. Said on a previous thread I was glad CBS turned to these two rather than rushing the rookies. It is win win for Celtics and Jonas and Turner. I believe they will continue to perform in Atlanta.

Turner contributed to the late regulation melt down, but hit a huge shot in OT.  He's been asked to handle the ball a ton and done a decent job, but he did make a few maddening decisions.

It was a game of streaks and Jonas was a huge part of the clinching streak.  Go Jonas!

With Avery out, someone has to take shots. Turner has been overlooked. He's done a great job.

I really liked Jerebko with Detroit and was excited when the Celtics got him.  Ainge is really good at noticing guys who can be great glue contributors but are in the wrong situation.

I watch way too much basketball and notice these kinds of guys too.  Turner was another like that, underachieving and needed the right environment.

IT is an example of a marginal star who needed the right landing spot.  I think Ainge is going to get another one of those types.  Noel and Hayward look exactly like that to me.  They could both thrive here.

Jonas has been everywhere. The guy never looks tired.

Turner has been crafty. Cs will take like 6 3s in a row, I'm ready to pull my hair out, then Turner snakes thru 4 guys and hits a floater. He'll never be perfect, but he's been key.

Interesting point about Jerebko's conditioning.  I think you are right that it is a factor in in play and consistency.  Can you imagine if Sullinger could get to this point?

I've had love for Jerebko ever since about a week after we snapped him up in the trade last year.

From the moment he arrived in Boston he has played hard and has contributed on both ends of the court.

He plays the right way, and while he isn't hugely talented (as in star potential) he is one of those guys who makes the absolute most of every bit of talent he has, and he has the right combination of skills to make him a very valuable support player.

Actually I remember at the start of this season I was actually predicting that Jerebko/Amir might well be our best starting lineup, since both guys can defend multiple positions and both guys can score.  From memory people were calling me crazy for suggesting Jerebko was good enough to start, but there is something about his game that I just really like.  He is the type of guy who can fit in alongside just about any player.

Me too. He quickly became one of my favorite players on this team, and it's great to see him getting a chance.

Funny how after he had some nice moments in the playoffs last year, the C's spent the whole season juggling all their big PF's through the lineup only to wind up back where they started with their stretch 4 playing big playoff minutes.

Ainge would be smart to remember this during the summer.

Jonas was incredible last night. Stepped up and made some big plays for the club.
