I've been proven wrong many times in my life and I hope this will be another time. I said we were done but if Crowder, Olynyk, Smart or Jerebko can find the bottom of the basket tonight we should have a chance. We just need 2 of these guys to get going. It can happen.

I say the key to game tonight is simple. We just have to make those open threes. The looks are there and we have missed a ton of wide open threes. This will shift the defense away from IT and Atlanta will have to stop caving in on every IT drive. We just have to drop some threes.

What are everyone's keys for tonight as far as winning

There is little to no chance.  Like your optimism . but without AB and KO , too many holes in the lineup. Plus IT can't drive to start the engines in the offensive game

Teague and Schroder looked seriously uncomfortable with AB out there. On both ends. But now ,in full cindence mode. With a grin. Watch them closely

Well the biggest key is to hit shots. I know it sounds too simple, but Atlanta only scored 87 points. I can't count how many wide open shots the Celtics missed. Hit them and they win.

Is there an announcement that Olynyk is out tonight?

The Celtics haven't given fans any reason to feel optimistic about this playoff series. My enthusiasm for the playoffs waned the moment I realized how poorly suited this roster is to compete at an elite level - especially on offense.

I'm more excited about the draft lottery and/or trading for a future star. Danny Ainge has a lot of holes to fill on this team.

i will repeat a post i made on another thread.

i was reading over on SoSH and they had an interesting idea on how to MAYBE offset the hawks' strategy of packing the middle and daring boston to shoot.

start both turner and IT, but let turner be the ball handler and IT plays the bradley role of coming off picks. ala bradley, he would get open shots, which might open up the floor. if the hawks cover IT, then turner can go to the basket.

the down side will be on defense as i dont think IT or turner can cover teague.

but it cant produce much worse results.  :)

They were doing just fine till AB went down. Plus it never helps when you are short on shooting to begin with then you lose a guy like AB, a 40% guy like KO, and then also have Jae battling an ankle injury.

If all those guys are healthy I think we are just fine.

when any team loses 3 of its top 4 3 point shooters AND that team relies on 3 pointers, you know they are in trouble.

ATL matched up well with us before the injuries, didn't they win the series in the season 3-1?

Milsap and Horford are a lot better than our bigs.   Korver can shoot and Teague is almost as guard as our guards.   Bazemore is someone I want us to go after in the off season.   He was the first guy Brad Stevens called and has developed into a nice talent.   I do not think he should be our top priority but I would rather spend some money there than on some others.   We should go for a star first though.

I'll say the key is to play scrappy and hungry and feed off the crowd. Hustle.

This team played defeated and a bit tentative, and that's not their style.

Gotta hit some shots too. Get tougher all around. Head strong!

Turner and Jerebko are starting.
I predict we win tonight.

Brad had to try something.

I would play Turner and IT 40-42 minutes. Maybe more depending on how the game is going. Cut back on Rozier and Hunter's minutes.

YES! It's playoff time. We need to play our best guys as much as possible. Nothing to lose at this point. Get them as much time as we can.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Crowder was pretty bad but he and Jerebko hit early threes.

Smart hit a couple with one being a critical late one. Rozier unexpectedly hit a couple of long shots with one being a three.

If we can get similar output from these guys, IT should get the space needed to keep having great games.
