some of these tv guys should be keelhauled -it doesn't matter that crowder is injured ,that bradleyis injured ,that kelly is injured and even isaiah's wrist--now the media is aiming at brad-
atlanta was so beatable, if celts were healthy and that is not a seeing green comment-
we have lost crowders shooting and defense, kelly's shooting and spacing ,the best on ball defender in league and that guy tells maxwell he can't bring up injuries

If a guy can't play I understand but Otherwise I wish they didn't publicize these other ones. Most teams are not 100 percent at this stage.I do feel it's building in excuses and makes the players seem a little weak especially to the opponent.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
Which TV/Radio guys in the media were talking negatively about Brad.

My opinion is that I refuse to listen to most of the media when it comes to the Celtics. All the radio talk show guys know absolutely nothing about basketball. I learned early on that if I got mad about what Boston media members say about the Celtics it was my fault for listening to their opinions on basketball in the first place.

Traditional media members rail on bloggers, but in Boston bloggers and beat writers are the only guys who put out good content on the Celtics. I have learned that there is a group of talented intelligent people covering the team and everyone else should be ignored.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Ok, I get the post and generally agree with it, but can someone translate the title?  My Rolliese is still a little shaky.

I read the title earlier today and resolved I hadn't had enough coffee.

look up movie celtics pride with dan aykroyd in the movie larry bird plays himself and scolds the pair    for being fair weather fans as they feigned rooting for the jazz in a bar to get the opposing star player drunk-
these two kidnap the other teams best player before game 7 of championship-
was not a box office success it was a rotten movie --
sorry i thought everbody would remember birds cameo part  in an aycroyd movie about a couple blue collar rabid fans that would stop at nothing--to help celts win

Yeah I remember the movie, I just wasn't sure what the connection was with the post.  Just kind of a free association with the media being critical I guess.

ah. thanks for explaining that one, it had zoomed right by me. but i get it now.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

thanks for clarifying that but could you also clarify what that has to do with critiquing Brad?

Rollie knows what he is talking about. There are a lot of fair weather fans who are ready to throw their team under the bus because they got hit with the injury bug. This is not only an in-built excuse, it is accurate.

This playoff looks like it will end up as incomplete. If we win two games against Atlanta, then that probably deserves a decent evaluation considering our best players are banged up.

This is good. We're finding out things. Such as, goodbye Sullinger and probably Zeller and Jerebko. Turner is interesting, but maybe it is time to cut him loose too. I am tiring on Amir Johnson. I don't want Ainge to gut the team, but I'd like to see him do what Rollie refers to as pruning.

Maybe we have to bring back Amir anyway. The salary cap jumps and you have to pay someone.

I hate to turn on Turner, but for all his swiss army skills, I don't think he fits into Brad Stevens' overall vision. He's kind of a ball hog. I guess it depends on how much money he wants.

But Zeller? Danny might as well draft a center and Brad could play Jordan. Olynyk should have his best year yet next year. Sure, bring back Amir if he doesn't have chronic foot problems.

This year? Don't give up. We'll see what happens. I don't have much faith in RJ or Jordan because they didn't play enough during the year. Rozier could emerge. It could be a Wally Pipp situation or we have our fourth guard for next year.

Turner to me is gumming up the works. He's decent. He deserves a contract. I admit I was wrong to think he's a bad player, but because of his need for the ball in his hands, I don't think he fits in long term.

Thank God for the high draft pick and contracts running out. Danny will be able to tinker even if fireworks are nowhere to be found.

There is another thread I saw at C's Blog which has me worried. If we are inept at training, conditioning and maintaining health, that will always be lurking as a rain cloud.

Even young players break down. Winning a title is a marathon. In hindsight, going for a top seed backfired. Not playing Rozier and Jordan Mickey during the year has backfired. In hindsight, the Wallace for David Lee trade backfired. This emphasis on winning regular season games backfires. Hopefully, Brad Stevens will tone that back next year. He's not as bad as Doc at running players into the ground and not taking advantage of a bench, but he's not much better at it either, at least so far as an NBA coach.

It is what it is. Our team is battered. It's an incomplete still with the great future.

-there was this idiot with maxwelll  trying to magnify and denigrate brad  and when maxwell started to mention injuries, the guy just cut him off and said we arn't going to talk injuries -and then this forum and its negitivity
and bird popped to mind with" fair weather fans-"
good enough for larry so i put it up
atlanta is so beatable by us at full strength-crowder, bradley, kelly and isaiah's wrist-the celts came back in first game
-marcus loses track ot time now he has a low bbiq
-that three he put up was a good look-
this team is trashed, rj made several bad plays was his bbiq attacked
since crowder came back and isaiah reinjured his wrist the team has been troubled
now its brads fault, he didn't play the rookies and mickey is a savior
-rj had two threes deflected, there was a 24 second violation by rozier  and both rozier rj struggle with screens but not marcus
to rj's credit there were several good passes
-to demean and diminish what boston and its players have done and they ARE injured with several pieces that make it even tougher for isaiah to get to basket-
