The gloom and doom mindset around here is absolutely justified. We limped into the playoffs playing garbage basketball. Jae Crowder clearly isnt himself, Kelly is some combination of hurt and soft, then we lose AB. Those 3 are probably our 3 best shooters outside Isaiah, then on top of that the team just isnt clicking and we are down 0-2 to Atlanta who seems to be peeking.

But its not over yet. This is an emotional team. We will be back home tomorrow. I still think brad is a stud. Its going to be hard. We are just terrible on O now, but this teams feeds off adversity and the Celtics crowd. We get a win tommorow then we get momentum and a chance to tie the series heading back to Atlanta.

The season isnt over. Not yet.

Good post

I saw a similar post on Reddit. The OP was comparing this series to a giant Celtics game. As usual, the Celtics play pathetic basketball to start the game (series in this case), only to turn it around with heart and passion in front of the home crowd (next 2 games). They then use their momentum and seize the opportunity for the win, but something unfortunate happens and we lose.

But a valid post here nonetheless.  We are still in this. It'll require a very thin margin for error. But it can still be done.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Agreed. Even though we've played like crap, I still feel like this can be a series of we take care of business at home. We're due for a good game, and I think game 3 gets us back on track in the win column.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

The stars certainly haven't aligned in the Celtic's favour. Home court, young players having some playoff time under their belts and good rest for Crowder and KO - along with CBS these could be ingredients for the Celtics to rebound and change the momentum of the series.

it's definitely not over but they're wheeling in the life support machines for tomorrow.

I think some home cooking will rejuvenate the C's for game 3 and they won't be missing the volume of shots they've missed the previous 2 games.  Figuring the C's come away with a 10-12 point win.

Game 4 is where I think Atlanta makes their stand and C's will have to play almost perfect ball to win.

While it is true that the series really isn't in jeopardy until we lose a home game, it's likely we will lose one - or two - of them.

But I always get back to my optimistic ways after a few days off and the players' quotes from practice (saying all the right things, especially IT).

There are a lot of things that can turn the series around and I think some of them are not only plausible but likely.

1. Crowder plays better after a couple days of injury treatment
2. Thomas catches fire and wills us to victory
3. Smart catches fire like he did against OKC earlier in the year
4. Olynyk comes back and spaces the floor
5. Bradley makes a miraculous comeback
6. Rozier builds on his good game from last game
7. Sullinger has lyposuction and can now jump high enough to grab an offensive rebound
8. The home crowd energizes the C's and pushes them to get more steals and offensive rebounds.
9. We start getting calls when we drive to the hoop, I think a lot of fouls on drives to the hoop that IT and Crowder normally get haven't been called in the first two games.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Seems like there's some optimism surrounding AB. Perhaps if we squeak the one out he could be back for cle providing us a huge boost before going up against a cabs team that suddenly looks beatable
