Marcus smart was shooting a music video today. This is gonna be a bigger thing than it needs to be now. Gonna make national headlines. Because it's Marcus smart. And we will have many threads after this discussing Smart's long term future with this team.

But hey, if this season is gonna end in a sweep, it's gonna be a brutal sweep. And a long offseason lol

Doesn't really matter to me personally. But since it's smart, and since the media and the Internet (not this site but places like Twitter and bleacher report) likes to jump at him and accuse him for everything, call him a bust, etc, it'll probably be a bigger story tomorrow.

That's kinda the impression I was trying to paint from my original post (that it shouldn't matter, but it will), but re reading it, it does seem kinda critical on my part.

I think we as fans sometimes forget that basketball is work for these guys. They have lives outside of basketball, too. The music video is nothing, and even if he's out drinking at bars it's not like there's a game tomorrow. Do you think every NBA player, half of whom are avid pot smokers, is dry all season long?

Fun fact: most people think that MJ's flu game was actually him hungover...

I wish he was seen shooting and hitting buckets instead. Not really a big deal IMO doesn't change my opinion of him.
