Guy consistently delivers article-to-article. Quickly becoming one of the great NBA writers ever, IMO.

I'd heard of him, but hadn't read any of his articles until now because I was so fed up with just about every other NBA writer out there because they either don't watch enough games or they don't understand the game. Completely agree with you, this guy is legit. Blows every Globe/Herald writer out of the water. He's got a new fan in me. TP for the heads up.

that's cray cray. i read / listen to everything he publishes, and honestly rarely read anyone else. his balance of tactical basketball knowledge and practical realities of the game combined with solid, easy going writing makes him really good. and his growth has gotten him a lot of really strong front office relationships, i understand.

Yeah, I'd gotten so frustrated with every other NBA writer that I basically stopped reading about it. I'd skim game stories just to see quotes, but don't even read anyone else's work. Woj will have some legit inside info that's interesting to read at times, but he's nowhere near as proficient in actual basketball knowledge as Lowe is, and he isn't a beat writer. I'd imagine Lowe will continue to build more and more great inside sources with his talents that you listed.

Woj is very good at what he does -- hyper well-connect (somewhat sensationalist) outside-the-lines insider. Lowe talks about basketball, which is more valuable throughout the season. He also balances that with cap thoughtful trade ideas, which I enjoy.

I first saw Zach Lowe's articles when he was writing for Celticshub. They haven't been the same since he left. He is an insanely good writer. He and Bill Simmons had a good balance as writers for Grantland, which makes me all the angrier that ESPN shut it down.

Great article.  It doesn't blame the players or Stevens but details what the problems were in the horrific first quarter.

Thanks for posting this here.  Good read.

And yes, Zach Lowe is a really good basketball writer.  He does his homework and breaks down plays on a level that a fan probably isn't going to see live.
