I like the idea of signing Barnes and Anderson at 18 million each as well as trading for Cousins on draft night. Also sign DMontie low cost to play backup center. He is coming off injury plagued season so may sign cheap 1 year deal.
 Rozier, Hunter, KO, AJ, Nets 2016, C's 2016, Wolves 2016 2nd and Nets 2018 for Cousins.

Dallas pick take Korkmaz. Philly pick get Thon Maker. 45 take Yogi, 51 Finn-Smith, 58 Warney.

Starters=IT, AB, Barnes, Anderson, Cousins
Bench=Smart, Korkmaz, Jae, Mickey, DMontie
Reserves=Yogi, Young, Finn, Warney, Maker

That greatly improves your offense and overall talent level.
If we sign Barnes, I'd just start him and Crowder at the 3/4. Anderson is a good shooter but he's a horrid defender, I'd rather have Dudley at half the price.

I don't like planning the offseason around trading for a star, because we don't know if a star will be available or what the asking price on that star will be. If it's possible, I'd love Cousins and Barnes as our two key additions.

Is Korkmaz coming over right away?
I don't like Dudley at all. Believe Korkmaz is waiting on draft promise for a top 10. If he doesn't get one he may sign with Euro team for a 2 year deal with opt out. I do think DA could convince him to come year one if he is told he will play significant minutes off the bench.

Why not Dudley? He is a career 39.9% 3 point shooter and shot 42% last year. He plays hard and is a smart player.

Ryan Anderson is a career 37.7% 3 point shooter and shot 36.6% this year.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I know I suggested Anderson but you guys are right he does have a lot of flaws for the $. What if instead it's AB for Ibaka and team signs DeRozan. On draft night Cousins and Ibaka trades. Then sign DeRozan instead of Barnes. OKC needs a change. Ibaka is perfect next to Cousins.

IT, DeRozan, Jae, Ibaka, Cousins
Smart, Korkmaz, Young, Mickey, DMontie
Yogi, Finn, Warney, Maker

I like Ibaka in theory, but he declined so much this year that I'm worried about him. It's unusual for a 26 year old to see a big dropoff in both usage and efficiency.

2013-14 .576 TS%, 19.8 USG%, 15.0 TRB%, .383 3p%, 6.7 blk%
2014-15 .549 TS%, 18.9 USG%, 12.6 TRB%, .375 3p%, 5.8 blk%
2015-16 .533 TS%, 17.6 USG%, 11.6 TRB%, .326 3p%, 4.5 blk%

Yikes.

Teletovic would be a good rotation player to add for cheap. He is only making 5 mil next year and is on a cellar dweller so he should be available. I believe he shot over 45% from 3 in the 2nd half of the season .

for what it is worth, draftexpress says that korkmaz wants to join the nba "soon."

He has good stats except for rebounding + blocks. Any idea how he is as a defender?

Dudley can be a nice addition, also play good D.

I just don't like him most his game is opportunity and hustle. At least Ryan Anderson still has played big when he was targeted by defense. Duds has never been the focus of any defense. That is the difference.

Nikola Mirotic would be a good guy to target. More of a bigger combo forward. A PF/SF rather than a SF/PF. A bit more size. More rebounding. Good passing ability and a solid handle to go along with the three point range. Still developing defensively but shows some ability there.

More of a two way player than a Ryan Anderson type (defensive liability) and Mirotic is more versatile offensively than R.Anderson too with Mirotic's superior ball-handling and passing.
You think maybe Dallas or C's first for Mirotic?

I think he'd cost more than that.

Maybe the two picks together plus probably a 3rd asset. Maybe RJ Hunter.

I wouldn't be too worried about it. People were freaking out about Batum's struggles last season. Now look at him. He looks rejuvenated. Sometimes a scenario change is just the best thing.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

A center like Marc Gasol (or Al Horford) with his passing and midrange shooting would make a bigger impact offensively than a stretch 4. The team needs a big man who can facilitate the offense more than a big man three point shooter.

This is supposed to be Kelly Olynyk.  And when he is playing his best...it is.
