Seems like a fair question, I've never seen a team miss so many shots before... I mean, in the first half, basically the only ones who made shots were Turner and Amir Johnson who were on a roll, but otherwise it was a disaster. And to think the Celtics couldn't shoot worse than in game 1... wow.

Also, as I feared, it was even more critical than we won game 1 because Korver missed 90% of his shots so we were due for a "can't miss" game, which happened last night.

I believe that's because we almost get away with game 1. So our players didn't get it the first time right. Nothing like a reality check to move forward.

I will say that the only way to beat a a very good defensive team like Atlanta is to RUN...RUN...AND RUN some more...because its hard to scorr against a set defense. Brad should change it up. Up the pace and the ante.Run against them even on made baskets..what will happen is helter skelter basketball..that is the only way we beat them..use the strength of Thomas...RUN!!!!

Hopefully no Celtics team will ever shoot that badly again (unless we are tanking for some prospect who is the second coming of Larry Bird)

The last 5-6 games this team has played, they have showm genuine effort for 50% of the game at best.

You just can't play like that in the playoffs.  Its not summer league!

This kills me, you have to get the ball to run.   That means you have to rebound, win the 50/50 plays and get steals but especially rebound.  Until those things happen, we won't be able to run because you need possession of the ball to advance it.   It is not as simple as RUN RUN RUN.

CBS seems to have soured on Sully, who is the best at getting the ball on boards.  I do not blame him given his effort, which only seems to be there in the first quarter.

They think too much. On many occasion they had the opportunity to push the pace and run on rebounds but somehow hesitate and by the time you think a split second, the hawks were set on defense.
All it takes is 1 to make the other run as well.
Body language people, we haven't seen Celtics hustle body language yet in the playoff.
They don't box out to save their life, they watch teague doing layups, they watch them rebound, they don't dive on the floor, they lose the handle, they go in the paint where there are 5 guys in front and wonder why they lose the ball.
Wake up!

I agree that they're thinking too much. They're trying to rise to the occasion instead of just playing basketball and they're tightening up.

The seven points scored by Boston in the first quarter of Game 2 were the fewest ever scored in the first quarter of a playoff game in the modern (shot clock) era.
