Well I said this before playoffs.  For the Celtics to succeed in playoffs we needed to hit outside shots, play great defense and be healthy.

We have none in game 1 and 2.  We've ended season with injuries to crowder, ko, Bradley, Turner and smart..am I forgetting anyone?

Sully ugh.
Isiah the Hawks have clamped down, no one else can bring it.  Tonight imo who looked good, Amir, rosier and Turner....Jj gets a mention.  Rest of team looks like they aren't ready.

The crappy part about this is that we should be beating this team. If we were fully healthy and weren't in the middle of this ridiculously horrible play that we've been in, I think we win this series soundly.

This is a joke right?

Good for Holland, getting NBA playoff minutes. That dude will always be able to say that he played in the NBA, nice to see.

I wonder if that #30 jersey still has butter all over it.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

I think after this series is over and done with, the Celtics should think about who will be the starting PG next year. As the playoff games get more physical IT has trouble getting to the rim.

This year he has taken a physical beating, and it shows.

As angry as people are about the result of this game, I think we all need to step back and realize that two very valuable players to this team aren't playing. Avery and Kelly make a huge difference for this team. On a team that isn't loaded with good three-point shooters, we are without two of our very best ones. Avery is arguably our best two-way player (the other one, Crowder, is also nursing an injury) and Kelly kills it in the plus minus. I hate to say it but them being out hurts this team a lot.

This is true but the fact those two are so important tells you how much this team overachieves. Hard to have any moral victories anymore. This team's future revolves around the summer but they are still wearing that Celtic jersey looking like a 30 win team.  :-\

They should be apologizing to the fans for such a crap effort in a playoff game.  They embarrassed the jersey tonight.

Without a doubt.

This is a clear call to blow this group up. Danny should have dumped Crowder at the deadline. Top of his value.

God you're so negative. Why should we blow it up?

If you seriously think this group will EVER win anything meaningful, I'll take the illegal stuff you're smoking.

Not going to happen. EVER. Worst shooting team in the league.

People can whine about the injuries and the officials all they want. Just makes them look silly. This club cannot score the basketball. That has to change, and Ainge has to change it now by moving a bunch of these bricklayers out.

Of course they won't win anything as is. You have to be retarded to think otherwise. But you're suggesting rebuilding. Again. Don't you think any upgrades are possible. Honestly I think you need to take a more positive outlook. Like, you do nothing but bash this team. Chill

Let me think it over.

I have.

No.

This team needs scorers now. Inexcusable to go into next season with this offensively inept mess.

[dang it]. You don't understand anything do you? What do upgrades mean? I guess I have to define that for you too. It's getting better players. Some could be scorers. As you said. Some could be rim protectors. Wings. Bigs. Scorers are definitely an option. I'm not saying this team as is. I'm saying this team with some upgrades.

What part of this is a terrible offensive basketball team don't you understand? Terrible, as in putting up the worst playoff quarter in the franchise's history? Absolutely unacceptable performance tonight that embarrassed the uniform.

You want to soft-peddle that, go ahead. Don't expect everyone to agree with the fusillade of excuses on this board.

I'll await your next personal attack. Didn't know the board had rolled back the prohibitions against that.

Your argument was to blow this team up.

My argument was that we can maintain this team and reload it with scorers.

I get we are bad at offense. I get it. And I'm not making excuses. I'm saying we can try to get some more scorers this offseason to add to our defensive team. There's no need to blow up the team to get scorers.

You're not gonna win with just scorers. Look at Houston. No defense.

We can RELOAD this team with some offensive talent, replacing some of the guys that don't contribute offensively, while maintaining a good defense.

I'm really not sure how much more clear I can be.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Pretty much, lets hope Durant understands that

Uh, no.

Bradley makes a difference.

The pillow-soft Olynyk? LOL.

Dude, relax. No one is saying the Celtics are a contending team, but they aren't this bad against a non-contending team.

Nope. If we were playing like we were before Crowder went down and were fully healthy, we'd beat these guys. They're not playing very good ball at all either, and a lot of it is due to our defense. But when you lose two of your top offensive options, your number one scoring option goes silent, and your starting small forward is playing on a bum ankle that is CLEARLY affecting him, then I think that kind of skews the advantage toward their favor.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I don't understand why people think that. Go position by position and I'm not sure where we are better than them?

The guy's must feel like they wasted 82 games. They try so hard, harder than almost every team. For what? Experience. Experience at getting beat down when it matters most.

Say goodbye to Any chance at KD. Hope for good luck lottery night.
