I'd go with

IT              / Rozier
Smart        / Turner
Crowder     / Jerebko
KO            / Mickey
Amir         / Sully

You need KO in there with IT IMO. IT , needs some space to operate and get into the paint . KO draws the Millsap/Horford away from the rim , and can make plays off the dribble . Otherwise with Sully and Amir starting we have no other reliable shooters in the starting lineup , especially with Smart taking AB's spot .

Then you have a ball handler with Turner off the bench , can play Jerebko at the 3/4 , and Sully can get more touches off the bench, and can maybe maintain some stamina to close games .

Also Rozier could see some mins , but 10-15 at the most .

I agree with most of your rotation, but I'd leave Mickey out of it.  We can fill the backup 4 by going small, with either Crowder or Jerebko at the 4.  IMO Mickey isn't ready for anything more than emergency minutes.

I like your idea of starting KO since we definitely need his shooting to replace Bradley's. And then depending on how he performs (i.e if he is playing passively) you can keep him (or not) on the court but I think Rozier needs to get a good shot too, I like his defense and his knack for rebounding. It would be great if he could contain Teague on defense and/or prevent Korver from rebouding like a mad man as he did in game 1.

interesting rotation. yet, your initial point is that outside shooting is necessary, so start KO. but that raises how the second unit will do in terms of outside shooting. from the roster you give above i dont see who will stretch the floor for the team.

this is not your fault, it is more a function of the limited shooting options the celtics have available now.

(1) I am going small in the starting lineup. Moving Sully to the bench and starting Turner.
(2) Crowder slides over to PF. He performed better there than at SF yesterday. Less stress on his ankle / less exposed to limitations of his ankle against slower bigger forwards.
(3) Smart to replace Bradley in the starting lineup
(4) Rozier to replace Smart as lead backup guard

(5) If Rozier does not deliver, I move to RJ Hunter
(6) Zeller as possible matchup vs Muscala if team not scoring inside. 3rd string.

(7) I use Sully as my backup center.
[8] Olynyk as backup PF vs Mike Scott
[9] Jerebko as backup PF vs Paul Millsap when Crowder is resting or back at SF.

(10) James Young as 3rd string SF. Match up against Tim Hardaway or Thabo Sefolosha.
(11) No Mickey. Does not matchup well against Horford / Millsap due to lack of physical strength and lack of fundamental defense. Mike Scott has advantage over Mickey due to three point shot. Mickey could play against Muscala but I think Sully, Olynyk and Zeller all offer more against Muscala than Mickey does.

I agree more space needed now with AB out
IT, Smart, Jae, KO, and AJ should start.
Rozier, Turner, JJ, and Sully our main guys off the bench.

C's may need to play the small ball group of
IT, Smart, Turner, Jae and JJ to make up any big deficits.

Ugh that lineup is bleak. Might be the worst combination of shooting by 9 players in the NBA.

When Avery Bradley didn't play against the Hawks on Nov. 13, Marcus Smart started and Celtics won, 106-93. Only W against ATL this season.

There isn't much they can do about it. Hunter and Young have failed to develop enough to play and their shooting hasn't gotten better either. The team overall isn't a great shooting team. All they can do is play small and out pace teams.

I disagree. It's the exactly reason why I think we need to go with Hunter over Rozier. Hunter gives us the best chance at adding some floor spacing.

I know it's a tiny sample size (but so was his first 20 games). In his last 10 games, Hunter has shot about 50% from 3 point. He is literally the only guard we have left we has a chance to be an above average shooter after IT. So we've gotta role with him in my opinion. Hunter started slow, but he was a rookie, it's to be expected. His shot has clearly looked better today and hopefully it can be somewhat consistent when not playing sporadic 5 minutes at a time mainly during mop up time.

Im not too sure but how about this

IT
Rozier
Crowder
Jerebko
Amir

Replace jerebko and rozier quickly and bring smart and KO. Then put turner jerebko hunter for IT rozier and amir. Could also go with sully here. Then just bring thomas amir and crowder quickly for smart ko and hunter

Smart starts with IT, Crowder, Amir and Sully.

Sully is first subbed out and Turner comes in. IT, Smart, Turner, Crowder, Amir

Crowder and Amir come out and are replaced by Jerebko and KO. IT, Smart, Turner, Jerebko, KO.

Quarter ends.

Start of next quarter start Rozier, Turner, Jerebko, KO, and Sully

Crowder, IT return. Turner and Jerebko sit. IT, Rozier, Crowder, KO, Sully.

Amir returns. Sully sits. IT, Rozier, Crowder, KO, Amir.

Smart and Zeller come in. Rozier and KO sit. IT, Smart, Crowder, Amir, Zeller.

Sully comes in Zeller sits. IT, Smart, Crowder, Amir, Sully.

Second quarter ends.

Repeat in second half.

I also think Rozier and Zeller only see very limited minutes 3-4 max per half. Smart, Crowder and IT have to log huge minutes. Jerebko, Amir, KO and Sully would probably see their normal minutes.

If KO is hurt, Jerebko has to get more of his minutes and an adjustment needs to occur to play more small ball.
