Smart clinched the loss with the horrible foul. Great hustle but I'm really surprised people think he's such an intelligent player.
Smart is an intelligent player who definitely made a bone-headed play that did in fact cost us the game, I know I shut it off after that play. if he continues doing such things then it's definitely a problem.
but it was a play that sealed the loss in which the whole team sucked and Smart was one of the few bright spots for the majority of the game.
Intelligent is the wrong word to use. He's a ferocious competitor who gives 100% effort, but he's in the bottom 25% of the league in terms of intelligence (obviously my guestimation). This is not the first time he's made such a bone-headed decision to foul. I love his effort and some of the things he brings to the table, but he is by no stretch of the imagination intelligent.
You are so completely wrong about this and that is all I will say.
You have differing opinions, and that is allowed.
I tend to agree with the "not so high BBIQ" group. I don't think he is in the bottom 25% in IQ, but in terms of him that certainly not being a strength of his.
I think Smart's basketball IQ is merely average, but I think he makes up for that by playing really hard - and I can respect that.
Same deal with Crowder. Not a high BBIQ by any means, but he fights his way to victory.
If you were to compare these guys to characters in an RPG game then Smart and Crowder would most certainly be barbarians, not wizards.
Smart makes poor decisions like that quite frequently. It is definitely far from a one off.
