Not the start to this game I was hoping for.   Atlanta's bigs are killing us once again.

As good as the Celtics are on the perimeter, they're just as bad up front. Sully/Amir/Oly just doesn't cut it as a front court.

The problem is that Atlanta has no one on the perimeter worth guarding that much in an isolation situation.

Our greatest strength is our perimeter defense but they don't rely on their perimeter guys to generate offense much. Kind of makes our greatest strength worthless in a way

True.

And then factor in that one of our guards usually ends up shadowing Korver hiding in the corner or running around screens and part of what makes our defense so great is completely neutralized (ball-hawking).

Atlanta just is able to space the floor so well, and because they run a lot of offense through their bigs the paint is wide open.

This team falls in love with the 3 way too quickly

This has been a classic Celtics problem for many years, even at times during the New Big Three Era.

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Smart needs to be able to shoot or he needs to be able to drive.

Not being able to do either is a huge negative for him.

yeah because smart's offense is the reason we're going to lose this series... ::)

The lack of offensive utility from our perimeter players is the biggest reason we're losing right now. Smart is a big part of that.

Man, Smart really has to work this summer on finishing. He's shown he can get to the basket, but man he is really struggling at finishing those attempts.

Berry's been pretty brutal about Smart's game so far. Seems like he's dissing on him every possession.

I just hate both the commentators. They're being Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.s about us in general
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Smart with the not so smart move. How do you miss that man?? Off the glass

We need Rozier and Mickey in

Atl have no bigs with good post moves so little worry about mickey being pushed around

but we need some rim protecting presence right now

Well and Crowder can't shoot at all...

muscle arms. Lebron gets to the backboard. Smart has to use floaters. Tough to do with his build.
