Let us know your response and rationale.

Assume original draft order

1 Boston  - Simmons
2 Philadephia  - Ingram
3 Phoenix - Bender
4 Philadelphia via Lakers - Hield

After Trade

1 PHI - Simmons
2 BOS - Ingram
3 PHX - Bender
4 BOS - Hield

Misread the post.

I would make that trade.

However, I would never trade those picks for another player. You have to make those picks since those players will be locked up for 8 years and most likely will sign on for more.

Don't the Lakers own their pick still based on record so you couldn't make that trade?
2025 Fantasy Draft Philadelphia 76ers:
PG: Rajon Rondo '11-'12;  WestBrook; Wall
SG: James Harden '18-'19 Marcus Smart
SF: Andrei Kirilenko '05-'06; Peja Stojakovic
PF: Anthony Davis '17-'18;   Kevin Love, Griffin
C: Amare Stoudemire '04-'05;   Marcus Camby

Lakers pick is only protected if it falls in the top 3.  Because BOS and PHX moved up, LAL pick falls out of top 3 and is conveyed to PHI.

Yes, you make this trade but it would take more to get the #2 and #4.  Honestly I'd be willing to make this trade if it's #1, Terry Rozier and James Young for the #2 and #4 picks.  But this is with the condition of knowing the 76ers will draft Brandon Ingram.

#1 76ers - Brandon Ingram
#2 Celtics - Ben Simmons
#3 Suns - Could go Hield, Bender, Murray, Dunn.  I personally think they go Bender.
#4 Celtics - Hield or Jaylen Brown (Excited about both)

#15-17 Dallas - Denzel Valentine if we draft Buddy Hield,  Brice Johnson or Skal Labissiere if we draft Jaylen Brown.

#22 Celtics - Thon Maker (I know he's a project player but with so many picks he's worth a risk here, even at Dallas pick personally I'd be taking a chance.

#31 Celtics - Damian Jones (This is a stretch because I'd take him at 22 with our pick, but I'm saying him here, but he's projected between 20-24 where I've seen him.  But I'd be praying he'd fall to us at 31.  Then the rest of the draft stash.

I have no idea why Philly would do this.

Simmons isn't even a good fit for their roster.

I misread the options. I'd make the second overall pick and then I would trade 4th pick for an established player.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
So essentially we trade for Butler or Cousins and we still get Simmons (or Ingram)? Uh, yeah, what Cs fan doesn't make that deal, even with sweeteners added?

That's a tough one.  I'd have to think about and get back to you but just thinking about simmons. i was just talking about Turner.  Simmons is that but a superstar?  might take him a bit though.  I don't know if i make this trade.  Having Simmons on this team would be pretty good I feel. It's all about getting the right player really.  Simmons vs Ingram and a guy like Hield possibly if he slides? I don't know right now.  I think I'd lean towards Simmons right now.

C's have never had the top pick.  We have a chance at Ben Simmons.  I take him right this second but I'd think about it.

Having the top pick gives you so many options.  It's more than that.  I think Philly would be stupid not to consider that.

We have a ton of picks where it's about getting the right player.  We can draft simmons and still get a guy like cousins or butler or upgrade our center spot regardless.  Horford etc...  We have cap space.  I roll with Simmons right this second unless someone can convince me Ingram is better.  I liked Durant over Oden but I dont feel the same way about Ingram.

We really need a PF and Simmons is both an excellent PF on a rookie contract and an excellent fit for Stevens coaching.  I don't know if we're getting a better player than him back in return.  He's worth more than Jimmy Buckets.  After the way Cousins has acted, I mean I would take him on the team, but not by trading Simmons.

Ths is what I mean Simmons is a distributer and rebounder and scorer  He's basically what I'm talking about with Turner and Sully and how Stevens has really fit them into our style of play.  Simmons a beast I feel in our system.  Ingram is more a shooter and scorer and finesse player.

I'd be somewhat disapointed if the celtics get the #1 pick and a shot at simmons only to trade it.  Ben Simmons!

Simmons is more a Tim Duncan prospect than Greg Oden ever was.  Ingram is not Durant.  Simmons is also more Bill Russell  than that too.  I like Simmons a lot.  Jhalil Okafor isnt bad either.  Neither is Horford but those guys are not Tim Duncan or russell but would be good centers on this team.  Simmons is the real deal I feel. This is a strong draft but Simmons is the guy.

Fans were chanting for Oden when i wanted Durant.  I'll say you are all chanting for Ingram and Hield and wrong again. It is a tough choice though.

I think you draft Simmons and try to get another player another way where we have assets to do that vs getting two lesser players.

Simmons is a Duncan type prospect ?  Woah.  You sure about that ?

That's high praise.  Duncan and LeBron prospects don't come around often.

Regardless of where this pick is at, I believe Ainge trades it for his Vet All Star.  Then lands Horford or Durant in free agency.

He uses the rest of the picks, free agency, and some trades to balance out the roster.
