Last year, I remember that I was really disappointed by Bradley's performance (more like counterperformance) in the playoffs, so this year I will be watching him very closely, hoping he will play as well as he did during the season.

Which players are you going to watch very closely, whether to compare with last year's playoffs or simply with this regular season - since we all know that the playoffs and the season are really different beasts - ?

Also of note for me :

- Marcus Smart. People went after him quite a lot this year - and often fairly so - but if I had to make a prediction, I would say he will be a big contributor against Atlanta in crunch time.

- IT. He performed well below his standards against Cleveland but their defense was so tough I can't blame him. Still, I'm eager to see if he has improved and matured enough to perform better if he faces the same kind of treatment.

Sully and ET if they want big money in the off season.

All of them. None of them have established themselves in the playoffs.

IT and it isn't close.  Is the teams star and had a terrible playoffs last year.

I agree.  Bradley's been there before and no one else is really at the stage of their career where anyone expects them to do anything.  Sure, it'd be great if Marcus Smart had a "coming of age" playoffs, but I don't think anyone is going to rip him or write him off if he doesn't.

But with IT, not only did he have a poor playoff showing last year, he raised expectations this year even more by getting his first All Star berth.  If he falters again, it's really going to add fuel to the fire that he's really just a nice regular season player that you can't build a team around.  Whereas if he has a stellar playoff run and carries the C's to the second round or beyond, he really cements his status as a top 25 player in the league.

I think you are being a little too tough on Isaiah. The majority of the team played like **** last year, which didn't help IT given the attention that he got from the Cavs defense. I think IT's performance will somehow depend on how Bradley is going to play as he could take away some attention from IT if we keeps hitting his shots.

For me it has to be Crowder playing defense and hitting 3pt shots. Too a lesser extent Sully and Olynyk. If Sullinger gets abused by Horford he takes a hit in next year's FA money and we lose. He has to play him at least even up on the boards and in the paint. Kelly has to bring a spark off the bench in his all around game like turner does consistently.

These are 3 areas we must do well with matchups, not necessarily win them but play them close to be in position to beat the Hawks.  IT , Turner and Avery will be fine. Anything from Smart, Amir, and JJ will be bonus.

IT, ET, and Sully.

Thomas needs to show that he can be a primary option on a playoff-relevant team.  He helped get us here, but his job isn't done.  And it's not just about the playoffs themselves; a strong performance by him really helps our FA pitch in the offseason.

ET and Sully are both playing for contracts, be it from us or somebody else.

They all have the most to prove.  no one's a first timer to the playoffs now and they've played like crap down the stretch.  if they go out in the first round, anything less than 7 games will look pretty lousy --- no real improvement from being a cohesive unit for 2 years.

the one player in particular that needs to show something is IT.  he wanted to be an all-star and he got there.  now play like it.  he sure hasn't the past couple of weeks.

This. Not because of any previous performance, but rather, he's The Guy. He needs to be able to deliver or find the open guy if defenses are climbing all over him.

Agree that it's Thomas.

Followed by Smart, who could really use a big game or two to revive some of the excitement about what he could be.

My gut says Marcus Smart. He was drafted sixth. He's not supposed to be just one of the guys
