Would you consider starting JJ to guard Milsap? He has the size to guard Milsap, and Milsap isn't overly explosive or quick. Their bigs aren't going to post up.

I know there's chemistry to consider, but I'd almost start JJ and KO or something like that to open up the middle more with more spacing for IT to drive.

I'd probably start either Sully and KO (with Sully on Horford, KO on Millsap) or just stick with Sully and Amir (Sully still on Horford)

I'd be playing KO and JJ a lot either way, though
I'm bitter.

Celtics have not won in Atlanta since November 2013.

Just let that sink in for a while

How will we guard Jeff Teague?

He absolutely destroyed us last game.

This is a great matchup for us!! The Atlanta plays with a similar style with no true stars, but just a bunch of good players. This is going to be a fun series to watch!!!! I think if there were ever a matchup that we could win it would be this one. It would be story book, we beat Atlanta, Al Horford signs in Boston afterwards.

I like the optimism but the Horford Milsapp matchup is really tough for us and Teague matches up really well with Thomas.

5th seed vs Atlanta is worst possible scenario in my oppinion.

Series should be really tough.

We can definitely win, but I would have felt much more confident going against Charlotte or Miami.

Id think you have to keep Amir and Sully in there to start. Only way youd get any rebounds.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
As far as our match up goes, ATL are simply an awful match up for us. Their D is excellent at stopping IT inside and we're going to struggle to contain Millsap who is arguably the most under rated player in the NBA.

No one said it would be easy, we are just lucky to have a healthy playoff rotation and hopefully we can upset ATL while Durant is watching.

I'd like to see Crowder and Jerebko guarding Millsap.

Starting with
IT
Bradley
Smart
Crowder
Amir or Sully will probably happen if we go down 2-0 in this one.

We're going to have to defend the 3 like it's GSW in this series.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I don't know how I could handle sweeps in back to back seasons.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Far from ideal.

No homecourt advantage.

Hawks in Round 1

Cavs in Round 2.

Can't get much worse than that.

But I do think the team has the mentality and coaching to give the Hawks a serious fight.

Honestly, I'm more excited about this Summer than the playoffs anyways.

We'd have to really mess up to get swept. I think people are overrating this Atlanta team a bit. We're actually 3-4 vs them the last two years. Sure, Miami and Charlotte were better matchups, but Atlanta is about as even as a matchup as we could get. I think the last game has kind of warped people's perception a bit.

I have to agree with all of this. This is the least desirable outcome in terms of seeding, but all of this is meaningless in comparison to what's going to go down this Summer.
