I think Gasol would be the most likely to be traded . Melo could be if he waves his no trade . I don't know why chi would move Butler unless they are getting Smart/Crowder and Brk 16 plus other picks .

I could see some sign and trade possibilities. I think Horford, KD, and DeMarre Derozen are all free agents

Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I voted Love, in response to the question. He and Bron Bron don't fit.

Both Melo and Gasol are on the wrong side of 30. I doubt Danny trades for either.

My preference is Griffin, but the price might be too high.

Butler seems to fit the Bulls plans for either a win-now (unlikely) or rebuild because of his age. I don't give up Crowder for Butler.

I said Gasol, for a couple reasons:

1) Memphis is likely going to lose Conley and I don't see how they get better without him, so it's probably time for them to rebuild

2) Ainge has a good relationship with Wallace.

What about trading for Marc and then signing Pau as a free agent just to see how they might play together?

Would that put us in the NBA Finals???

most likely they could get in a trade -- Love.  not for first option I'd want them to go for but he's the most likely player they could get in terms of being available at a cost the C's could afford to pay

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I'd say in order of availability this off season:

Love
Butler
Cousins
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Disagree highly on both accounts.

Conley and Marc Gasol are apparently bffs believe it or not.  Imagine them hanging out playing video games.  Regardless apparently this is well known within the nba.  I think someone on one of Simmons' podcasts brought up that point.  I was surprised to hear it too.

And 2, Wallce HATES DA.  They've made deals in the past sure but Wallace blames DA for outing him in Boston.  I remember reading a release after Danny was hired when Wallace still had the title of GM and he was explaining what the role of a gm was and the powers general managers have, and he always had to qualify every sentence with saying 'but that's not the case in this franchise as Danny Ainge...' blah blah blah.

I think I'd do Crowder, Smart and 2016 Nets pick if it would get us Butler.  Sign me up.
