This doesn't bother me that much. He's an underage kid living like a pig. Is that a character concern?

The "threat" seems more like a dumb prank.  The sensationalistic writing makes this sound like a big deal, but the pics were underwhelming.

He'll pay the bill and move on.

Agreed. I suspect many of us who spent time working as RAs in college wont find this story particularly surprising.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I hope Colangelo will overreact to this and trade Noel to us.

I would still trade the Bkn pick for him if it isn't top 2.

If this is true, it's really unfortunate. Why some young players don't take there careers seriously i have no idea. I'm not saying they have to act like angels, but to party your career away, and not respect the opportunity of a life time, by not giving 100% is foolish.

If this is true, It would have to disqualify him as being a potential target of the Celtics.
I agree...no  knuckleheads.

What the...are you people serious?

Quote
-- "Splashed neon colored sports drinks (such as Gatorade) on the carpets throughout the home."
-- $30,000 in other damage to carpets
-- Extreme water damage throughout the home
-- Clogged toilets filled with cotton balls and feces

(In fact, the owners say the plumber who fixed the toilet told them the damage was so bad he told them, "Someone must not like you.")

-- Broken elevator (it's a baller house)
-- $4,000 in damage to the stove
-- damage to the fridge
-- damage to the blinds
-- damage to dishwasher
-- torn window screens

The owners say they also found weed and roaches from joints in the home -- including pieces of marijuana in the master bathroom drawers.

Are you guys equating the dollar figures (provided by the disgruntled landlords, who have no incentive to inflate the numbers, of course) with the amount of damage? What's "crazy" isn't the damage, it's the fact that carpets exist which are so expensive that spilling Gatorade on them and "other damage" (whatever that means) would signify tens of thousands of dollars lost in value. $4,000 in damage to a stove? I didn't even realize an entire stove could cost that much. For all we know he lost a single custom knob on the console. All the rest of the damage could be trivial, we have no idea. Did the dishwasher, gasp, suffer a dent? Maybe bad enough to lose a security deposit. Okay. Why do we care? I mean, god forbid a seven foot human being should clog a toilet with feces, oh, the horror. The weed is nothing. Do you people honestly believe that there are no marijuana aficionados on the Celtics right now? Get real. The tombstone is slightly weird out of context, but it's a freaking Halloween toy, big whoop. Basically, this is a run-of-the-mill People's Court case, except the property involved is obscenely overpriced and we're only getting one side of the story and it's slimy little Harvey's tabloid version. Calm, the ****, down.

Lol he had 17 points 11 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks tonight, but clearly he's untradeable.

This isn't the kind of stuff that you dismiss. He is playing a professional sport. Drug use and indiscretion of it is crazy. Also threats no matter if they weren't serious are still threats and to the other person is serious. He could have easily stayed in contact with landlords and got things repair as they broke. This is very immature and dumb. I can only hope and speculate that this isn't his home but a place he rented for his friends. If this is Noel himself then I don't want him on this team till he gets more grown up no matter his numbers. A professional should have his personal life together at the very least legally.

At 21, Nerlans is averaging 11 points and 8 rebounds a game.

At 21, Jared Sullinger averaged 13.3 points and 8.1 rebounds a game.

How many people were beating down Ainge's door to trade for 21-year-old Sully?  How many were offering veteran all stars or top 5 lottery picks?

Oh my god.

This is exactly the kind of stuff you dismiss.

I'm beginning to figure out why LarBrd33 is the way he is around here. I know why the caged LarBrd33 sings, lol.

Noel is not overweight with a post-surgery spine.

But still putting up worse numbers on a worse team.

"21-year-old Sully"..."beating"...hmmm...why does that conjunction of words ring a bell? Oh right. Thank god we got rid of that dirtbag. One minute you're violently assaulting a woman, next thing you know it's escalated to toking on a blunt and spilling Gatorade on a carpet.

Also numbers: FG% and blocks and steals and assists.
