I have to think that after tonight, Stevens is going to be the Coach of the Year. He just out-coached and out-maneuvered the other leading candidate for coach of the year with a roster that has half of the talent that Golden State has.

We probably can't be sixth place in the East and him win (fair or not), but if we have home court advantage, then I think it's his award to lose. The last two games he's had absolutely brilliant game plans that have worked perfectly (with some bad bounces and plays that had us lose against Portland).
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

to be fair, there is 1 loss separating 3rd and 6th. Brad should get strong consideration for COY.

If this win doesn't get it for Brad, it should at least push it to the wire. I believe he is still in with a chance and a continuation of positive results could land him the prize. Though I have no idea when it is decided.

Dwane Casey can be Stevens' competitor. And idk if Tyronn Lue can even be considered even though I despise the guy so much

There is a lot of competition and arguments on who is a candidate and who should win. The season has a ways to go. Think it comes down to the final results.

To be fair Kerr coached a pretty good game there. I liked his substitutions and adjustments.

The Bobcat's coach is worth consideration too.  He has that roster (which is really no more talented then ours) right up there battling for a top 4 spot.

That Popovich fellow seems to be having a decent year too.

Just a tad bit of disparity in talent ya think?

Casey may deserve it as much as CBS

There's no need. It's like giving the Beatles breakthrough artist of the year Grammy in 1964.

Yes. 100%
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Certainly deserves consideration but I think it'd be borderline insane to hand it to anyone besides Pop or Walton/Kerr.   Heck, even Stevens admits that.

I think if the Celtics finish 3rd in the east he'd have to be considered.. Especially if we can squeak out 50 wins while doing so.
He's definitely done the most with less.

Yes.

Had we simply made our FTs, it wouldn't have been a game.

If we had Crowder and the refs didn't baby the Warriors, we would have won by 20.
