Props to Pho for joking about this in another thread.
I feel it helps to prepare for a nightmare Ainge little guy wingspan draft so.

Kris's Dunn with the Nets pick, I may have a meltdown if we pick Dunn, but hey he's got really long arms, plate defense and can't shoot so don't be shocked.

Draft Express has us taking Baldwin at#16 right now so I'll go with him, but with a 6'10" wingspan this PG can guard multiple positions.

I just can't put Ulis on my nightmare scenario so I'll say Prince at 21 and BPA at 31 is Grayson Allen so we have to take him.

No we really cab play small ball.

 Smart C
 Dunn PF
 Baldwin SF
 Rozier SG
 Thomas PG

 The five PG lineup! Brilliant!

I don't think Dunn is a nightmare scenario. He isn't a great shooter but he isn't a non-shooter either. His percentages suffer a bit because he shoots so much off the dribble. He is a PG, but we can fit him into the lineup if Turner walks and Smarts spends more minutes at the 3.

The two guys that I really don't want with the Nets pick are Hield and Ellenson.

I can understand Ellenson, but Hield? Please elaborate why you don't want the best scorer and shooter in the Draft..

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I also would be unhappy with Ellenson and would be less than thrilled with Chriss or Poeltl.

Dunn seems to be a perfect Ainge guy. If Smart and another guard gets dealt, then I would be happy with Dunn. He just seems like he will be very effective in this league.

Hield is a great shooter, but I don't see him as a great shot creator at the NBA level. I'm reluctant to bash him too too heavily because he could win ROY and I'd look really bad. But he's an average athlete with average handles in the NBA, so it's hard to see him as an all star down the road. I think you need to look for more upside at that point in the draft. I'd still take Hield top 10, but only because this draft class is weak.

How come? Who wouldn't want to draft the reincarnation of Brian Scalabrine ::)!?

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I actually love Dunn's game and he would be a great fit for this team. If we traded away Smart for Jimmy Butler then we could groom him for the starting job behind Thomas. We could finally have someone to run the second unit correctly.

That is a line-up that would lose a bunch too.

I think drafting bender with the brooklyn pick is the worst case, no matter what else he does with the other picks.

Agreed. If we want a PF we should grab either Ellenson or trade down or out of the draft. Just don't see it with Bender.

I could easily see Dunn drafted and then shipped out in a package for Okafor, maybe Dunn and mavs pick. At 21 I fail to see how Prince would be a worse case pick he projects as a perfect 3-D SF with the size to play small ball PF

I trust the experts and from the games I has watched online (mostly fiba tourney games) I can see the intrigue. He is a risk and isn't likely to come over right away but long term he could be the perfect PF for the modern NBA and BS style of play. He is worth the gamble any pick after #2.
