Based on my rule of 6 draft chart 2015. That has been adjust to rule of 4 (not yet posted) 18 to 24 range pick added. So Dallas pick would be slightly over. C's possibly under.

Should ask what it would take to move up from the DAL pick to get Hield. With so many 1sts and 2nds in this upcoming draft, Ainge should consolidate picks.

At this point, i cant see him getting drafted later than 4th. 3rd Most probable.

It's tough to say what the market will be like without knowing the draft order yet and before any of the workouts.  But I agree that if we end up in the 3-5 range I'd love to see the Celtics trade down to 6 or 7 and snag Hield or Poeltl.  Does anyone think a team in the 6-8 range would do something like the Brooklyn pick, either the Dallas pick or (preferably) our own first rounder, and a second rounder or 2 for their pick this year and their unprotected first rounder next year?

That high up in the draft, the #12 pick is usually worth moving up to the #5 pick, but that's only if the team picking fifth wants a player who they believe will be available at #6 if they trade or is completely unenthusiastic about the players available.

That high up in the draft, the #12 pick is usually worth moving up to the #5 pick, but that's only if the team picking fifth wants a player who they believe will be available at #6 if they trade or is completely unenthusiastic about the players available.

If there is a bidding war maybe it's that. I still see a one spot move to be way too low a value. It has to be worth a 2 or 3 spot jump not one. Also if the team in front doesn't want the guy you want they will often gladly trade down one spot to just save money and trade for a second round pick. A team will put conditions on the 2nd and sometimes it never even comes.

Guava makes a great point. At this point I don't think we need extra assets. We need talent. If we can package our three firsts to move up a few spots this year, we better do it. I don't want like 3 more rookies next year. I want 1, max 2 guys with pure, legit talent, who can come in and contribute right away.

 You gotta be realistic about rookies playing time.

 We could draft Bender and Skal Labissiere, and they wouldn't see the Court for a long time but still have big Upside.

 We could draft Jaylen Brown and Deyonta Davis two guys with huge ceilings, but a long way away from helping to win Games.

 If you want guys that can play now, hope for

 Buddy Hield, Valentine, or Sabonis. Those guys are ready to play ball right now.

 I think Hield helps us Immensely right now with his shooting and scoring off the bench, I also think he has a sky high  ceiling which is why we should take him.
