Just found this on the Suns blog. Found the comment section to be some very interesting perspectives. Curious what some of you think.

unfortunately I would choose Booker too (by a smidge).  Kid is going to special. Klay Thompson part 2 more than likely

There is NO guarantee that Booker will EVER be an All-Star.  IT's PER is a 21.8 and Booker's is a 12.3.  Gimme a break!!!!

I think my favorite part if those comments is that half the people there still think that the Western Conference is better than the East
I'm bitter.

  • GOT IT!!!
Everybody loves potential. Everybody loves their guy. They should have a poll over which GM they'd prefer Ainge or McDonough. Things would be different then.

It's more than likely that he becomes one of the best shooters of all time and a fixture on the All-Star team? That's a reasonable prediction.

Booker has all-star potential. Thomas is an all-star.

IT is also 8 years older than booker. look at their rookie stats for fun. booker scores a bit more. IT has more assists. their stats arent that different in many categories. oh, and booker is 6' 6".

let's wait 8 years and see their careers. then we can decide this i think.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Booker could easily turn into this year's Ben McLemore. Not saying I know either way, but I think the risk is there.

Nice find, welcome to the forums!

IMO this is a (rather lame) attempt to retrospectively justify a bad front office decision by presenting a false dilemma: the Suns did not choose between Booker and IT when they made the trade last year. I see no reason whatsoever to compare an All-Star who plays for the C's with a rookie who plays for the Suns.

Having said this, Booker is a nice young talent, another demonstration of how strong last year's draft class is.

The deal wasn't for IT for Booker. They got Booker because they suck. That's like Timberwolves fans including Towns in the Kevin Love deal. Just because you trade a player and then become terrible, doesn't mean you can include every draft pick you get after that in grading the previous trade. We swindled them out of IT. Move on.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

Well, the two best teams in the NBA are in the West.
