Of course.

what happens to Ingram development? don't you think this could turn off the kid also. Maybe come FA

Hey I'm considered a "sure" thing.  Where is the spotlight?  where are my mins (with crowder and Durant at the 3)

I'm not saying not to go for Durant , but it could become an interesting situation

If he has any kind of mental fortitude, I'm sure he'll be fine playing under Durant and coming off the bench as a rookie

If he can't accept that, then you already have a problem with him & probably shouldn't be drafting him.

it would not be  only under as a rookie. It would be for next 3 years.

Unless CBS finds a way to play all three.  Or one Crowder or Durant becomes injured

I'm jumping the gun here but this is a nice dilemma to be in.  however you need to add a pinch of sensitivity with what may happen. If not Ingram "feeling it" , it will be his agent or family feeding all kinds of feedback

Not really.  Projecting the sensitivity of a professional athlete is something left up for the fans to do.

Unless the kid has some character red flags (which I'm not aware of with Ingram), this should be a zero factor in drafting the kid.

This is what's known as "a good problem to have".  Of course you try to get the young superstar and future HOFer.  If somehow gun to your head you can only pick one, well so long Ingram.

Another in a long line of I-can't-believe-this-is-actually-a-thread threads on CB.

As others have said, of course you still sign one of the top players in the game and you worry about how to make it all work later. Long term, both could start either as 2/3 or 3/4.
