If in the summer we can swing a big trade ala the summer of 08, and we are suddenly contenders again, AND if PP comes back first. Is there any chance KG would return or is he set on joining the front office in Minny?

The later is my guess but would Minny care if he left again for 1 year to try for another ring with the promise to then go back (again) and join the FO?

I think he has his eyes set on retiring with the team he started with
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Yeah, this. He has way more loyalty and ties to Minny.

I agree but what if KD called him up and said, "I'm heading to Boston and I really want you to come with me" And then PP called and said the same thing? He will get his number retired in Minny no matter what as theyare so new, but its probaby less than 50% he gets it retired here. A move like this might make it happen. I don't question his loyalty to Minny, and I bet they would be be ok with it too for a year. I think a better question is how much does KG have left? I think if he thought he could be a key piece on a championship team in Boston next year he would do it. If he thought he could play 5 minutes a game, sit the bench and collect a ring, I don't think he would do it.

He wouldn't come back.  He is in his initial and final destination.  I think it would be kind of sad to have Pierce or KG back on the Celtics as players.  They are just shells of their former selves and KG's body is shot also.

KG is way too loyal to leave Minnesota.  It's part of what makes him great.

I think there was rumours of him wanting to become part owner of the Timberwolves eventually so I highly doubt it.

I have a feeling Paul Pearce will come back to retire here on a 10 day deal then possible become part of the coaching staff under Stevens.

By RPM, KG has been pretty effective.  10th overall for power forwards, second defensively.  Similar numbers to Amir.

I'd be surprised if KG comes back at all next year, I think this could be his last season. From there I think he moves into a front office ownership position in Minny.
To answer the OP's question, no chance he comes back to green.. and do we even want him? He is not very good anymore.
