Hold up, what is this thread based on?

Reality.

OK, is this the reality where Rozier has played 20 minutes a game this year and put up nice stats for a rookie?

That would justify calling him really good, I'd think.

So where do I go to get back to my own timeline, guys?  Where's the wormhole?

Last two games....12 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds in 12 minutes with some good defense.

Right, and for the season Mickey has 19 pts, 9 rebounds and 11 blocks in 4 minutes with some good defense.

And Mickey should be playing more as well.
Thanks for proving my point.

Don't see why, when Marcus Smart has 452 points, 203 rebounds, 135 assists and 78 steals in 27 minutes with some good defense, and when Amir Johnson has 468 points, 401 rebounds and 66 blocks in 22 minutes with some good defense.

These threads about Rozier and Mickey imply that Stevens is really off-base in his assessment skills. Inferior to our fellow posters, in fact - right?

If/when they're ready, they'll play. We should just be grateful that we held the #3 seed for a bit. I believe (and experts seem to suggest) that our success on the season has had more to do with coaching than anything else.

What in the world are you people doing, stat-wise? Are you all sniffing paint? Glue? Is it only one of you doing it for real and the rest of you are mocking him?

Here are some real, non-brain-damaged numbers: In the 47 total minutes Rozier has played the last four games, he's got a total of 17 points, 13 rebounds, 12 assists, 1 turnover, 1 block, 2 fouls, 3 threes on 5 attempts, 6 baskets on 13 attempts overall, 2 for 2 on free throws. That's pretty effing good.

Garbage time stats are irrelevant

Can he play - and contribute - in crunch time?

47 doesnt even qualify for a sss. i am not saying rozier is not good. but i am saying we shouldnt judge that based solely on the stats we have seen so far since it is such a ludicriously small amount of minutes.

heck, i remember short periods of time when phil pressey put up some good numbers. in one 64 minute stretch he put up 29 points with 10 assists and shot over 60% from 3 point land. THIS is why it is unwise to base decisions upon sss.

the numbers you cite are nice, but are they indicative of long term success? we dont know and cant judge based upon the numbers. what some folks are saying is that we need to wait a while before having mickey and rozier enter the hall of very-good-players.

let's wait and see.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I'm pretty sure he was being facetious.

But since we're talking stats, here are some other non-brain-damaged numbers: He has a 27% FG% and is shooting 26% from 3.  The point is that none of those stats matter because the sample size is inadequate.

I think Rozier will be really good.  To say he's really good right now is a bit of a stretch, since he's only played spot minutes at the NBA level.

Is that like the Matrix reality? Because what if I told you that Rozier is in no way, shape, or form as good as Marcus Smart?

Is this "reality" based on one decent game in a late season blow out?

Rozier has shown some nice flashes and I'd like to see him play alongside Smart in the second unit. I think that can be a nice pairing. For Rozier to continue developing, Evan Turner is probably going to have to go.

I love how the organization (Ainge, Stevens) goes about developing their youth.  Guys like Rozier are just scratching the surface, sort of like Avery Bradley was doing when he came into the league.

Fans won't like it, but it's the right approach.  Fans will say they stink, or get rid of them, sort of like they did with Bradley.

Ainge knows better though.  He will get rid of them for the right deal, all star package, etc.  But these guys have more value than people on here think.

Smart has all-NBA potential.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
