He does a lot of the same things Tuner does, but is a way better 3 pt shooter and probably a better defender too. Turner does have better isolation scoring skills, but at what cost? Considering the amount of picks we have, the strong likelihood that Valentine would fit seamlessly in Stevens' O, and the lower price tag, it's hard to answer why wouldn't we draft him as Turner's replacement even if it meant having to trade up from the Mavs pick. I obviously wouldn't select him with the Nets pick.

Don't think it's a case of one or the other.
We need depth on the wing.
Valentine would likely push young or hunter out not turner.

I would hope we nab him if he's available with the Dallas pick

I'm a big fan of Valentine but I would rather keep Turner and trade away Young.  That way our second unit would have Smart, Turner and Valentine on the same unit.  Great defenders in Smart and Valentine, Valentine with better at the 3 point shot, Turner for isolation and ball handling, Smart for ballhandling and his scorer which will keep improving.

I am also in the corner that we could keep Turner and draft Valentine. I think Young would be the odd man out. Probably have to dump him and a 2016 2nd rounder in order to make the space Valentine would need on this team. I could see Valentine doing some Red Claws next year but. I think he is good enough that he could warrant some playing time next year

I'm praying it happens

Valentine is just a better version of Turner.   Same size. Both not explosive .

But valentine has a better handle. Better passer. And especially better shooter

Turner is longer and more explosive, also has a better handle with his left.  No doubt Valentine has a better 3 point shot.
