I like the city a lot," Durant said after a shootaround at the TD Garden. "It's cold but they love sports here. It's a family atmosphere I feel when I walk around the city. So yeah, I like it a lot.

Quote
"Marcus Smart, he's a terrific competitor," Durant said. "He plays hard. He's a little guy that can defend three positions so I have my work cut out for me. I'm looking forward to it. I've been watching this team a lot. And they're scrappy. They play hard. They love their coach, they love their system, and especially in this building they play with a lot of energy. So it's going to be a tough test."

Quote
It's been a while," Durant said while sitting a few feet away from the parquet floor. "I haven't played here in a while."

With a smile, Durant continued, "Before this game I was hoping that everything goes well our last game so I could finally play here. It's been three years since I played (in Boston), so, yeah, looking forward to it. They're some of the best fans in the world and definitely support their team.

Hoping he gets some polite applause when introduced and then we boo him every time he touches the ball.

Let him know that we appreciate good talent, but ultimately, we're gonna let anyone who comes in the Garden know what they're up against.

This is almost too much. If he doesn't end up even considering the C's this is one of the hardest troll moves in recent memory.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

A win is crucial tonight. If the celts win it will stick in Durants head a bit and maybe in a TINY way give us a slight chance of picking the C's in Free agency (again very slight). It just will help keep the C's on his radar I think.  If the Thunder win, the game will be forgotten by him...

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
It's sounding like Conspiracy Bill is right.

Kevin Durant always has a place in his heart for Boston, and I hope he's considering the Celtics in his free agency decision next year.

Ok so we sign Horford and KD

Then Get a top 5 pick , the pick would then likely moved along with a prospect like Smart to land another all-star level player (Gordon Hayward )

IT                /  Rozier
Hayward     / AB
Crowder     /  Turner ?
KD              / Mickey
Horford      / KO

Would need to add some depth at backup big man spots, but I'll take my chances  ;D

It'll have to be a Ray Allen situation.. AKA we sign Horford to lure Durant. Without Horford we have no chance of landing Durant, at least with the pieces we have currently.

You gotta assume coming to the East has some sort of appeal, KD can instantly go from a 3-5 seed in the west to a #1 seed in the East. The only other scenario that is better for him is GSW but I don't see him being the type of player to go to the best team just to win.

In my opinion this is easily a #1 seed in the East.

Durant's just pulling a Shooter McGavin:

"I tell you, the real winner today is the city of [insert home team here]. Every time I come here it gets harder to leave. I bet you put something to the water."

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

would finally like to see him play here.  had tickets to their games the past couple of seasons and he was out for both.  really ticked me off.

I live in the South .....but Boston is very very nice city.  I ve enjoyed my visits .  Meet nice folks .

Boston has small town feel for a big city.

You know Durrant knew Green and Perk liked Boston a lot.

Horford is the Key or Drummond.
