Who would you prefer on this Celtics team... DeMarcus Cousins or Blake Griffin?

I think position is what a lot of people are looking at. Center is this team's biggest need.

I'm not a big fan of Blake's game.  Lots of mid-range j's, doesn't switch on D very well.

Cousins. He's a legitimate two-way player who has extended his offensive range to the three point line shooting 35% from three this season. The guy would be an absolute monster in Brad's system.

I'm not really a fan of Blake's one-sided game. I also don't think his game will translate well to his later years in the league when he loses his athleticism.

That kind of happens when you have a probable Hall-of-Fame point guard, a perennial sixth man of the year candidate, and a perennial defensive player of the year candidate to play next to.  Before Paul came to the Clippers, Griffin led that team to a whopping 29 and 32 wins in consecutive years.

If anything the Clips have been among NBA's most disappointing teams the last few years- they never lived up to their potential. I would not even call them contenders at this stage.

DMC on the other hand has been been surrounded by a random selection of FAs: good players but without team chemistry.

If anything the Clips have been among NBA's most disappointing teams the last few years- they never lived up to their potential. I would not even call them contenders at this stage.

DMC on the other hand has been been surrounded by a random selection of FAs: good players but without team chemistry.

Except when Paul went out, Blake raised his game and kept the Clippers at the same level.   

Much like Paul is doing with Blake out. 



Both are top ten talents.  No way around that.

I think both would be great.  I like Cousins more though and see his game aging better.  Although to Blake's credit he has become much more skilled as a player.

Well, at least Griffin broke through the 30-win barrier. And let's not pretend that Cousins has never had ANY talent on his team. The Kings really had an opportunity this year with the west falling off a bit and the addition of Rondo and WCS, and yet they are exactly where they have always been - WAYYYY out of the playoff race.

I chose Griffin, not because I absolutely love him, but I believe he could buy into what we are doing more than Cousins (yes, I would still gladly take him, too, though). If we sign a guy like Horford and our front court is fantastic.

I like Blake unless we somehow draft Ben Simmons, then I'll take Cousins.  I'm very happy with either, especially now that they are doing so much to lower their own value!

But Cousins has not had much talent around him.

WCS is a rookie. You can't count on a rookie to add wins. Rondo is good, but that's pretty much it.


Plus even if you think he has talent around him, this would be the first year in his carreer.


The biggest thing to me is that there has been zero consistency with the kings. It's hard to win like that
