  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Both have the knucklehead factor, although I'd say Blake's is far less on court than DMC's.
The argument for DMC has always been 'if he changed teams then...'so if the Kings agreed to a trade or the Clippers agreed to a trade, who would you want more?

Both are dominant big men and top 10 players.

Taking everything into account from attitude, performance, injury risk, and overall locker room risk,  which of these two guys would you prefer to see in Celtics green if we could trade the Brooklyn pick for either one of our choice?
Why?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Blake. Sure he punched his trainer and broke his hand, but when he's on the court he gives consistent effort I can't say the same about Boogie.

Blake has scored more in his career in the flow of the offense, I trust him to keep the ball moving more than I trust Boogie.

Blake has shown more on the court.  Not just stats, but leading a team (when Paul was out)

Cousins is a harder position to fill.  He is a harder matchup.  He also has a longer in the locker room issues.

I think Blake could do more to help the team win next season so I voted for him, but it is a hard choice at this point.

Cousins.

Better rebounder and shot blocker. Better shooter too, although this one is closer.

Also, for some reason Griffin always rubbed me the wrong way.

Assuming the cost is the same, I would rather have Cousins.

Cousins is younger and locked up to more years on his contract, and really is someone you cannot expect to see very often from a talent stand point. I pick him.

Blake.... He plays team ball. Has a winning mind set to help a team. Boogie is a great player but he's not a TEAM player. Blake had a mistake off court and messed up. Boogie has had MULTIPLE issues his whole career....... I love his game as a big man but is never going to help lead a team to a chip unless he gets his attitude under control.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Boogie any time of the day.

Its interesting they say Boogie has temper issues, and yet Griffin is the one who fought and put his hands on someone close to him. I mean I understand people fight, and tempers rise, but how when has DMC ever fought anyone? Screaming? Voicing your frustration?

Come on! How many 6'11 270 centers do you know that can dribble on the fast break, and throw down a tomahawk uncontested dunk, because god knows, the defender isn't trying to, (or possibly cannot!) block it?

Not recent. These two have a history.

I voted Cousins. He's locked in for longer and I honestly believe a new situation would help him a lot. If he was here he'd carry a lesser burden on the court, wouldn't be expected to be the sole bearer of losses etc.

There's definite concerns to think about but I don't think it's too different to when Rondo was here. DA and Stevens would find a way to channel the best from Cousins. It happened with Team USA so I think it could happen here.

Blake only because he's less likely to implode.

Out of the 2, I realistically think only Cousins is going to be available. I don't know how Sac can keep him at this point.

Tough to say. I think Griffin is better offensively and Cousins is better defensively. I'll give a slight edge to Griffin, who's less of a headcase and who has better advanced stats.

Cousins is the better player but I'd prefer Blake Griffin over Cousins due to Cousins lack of character.
