  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
This guy is nails- similar kind of player to Valentine in that he can do a bit of everything on the offensive end and he's very structured and disciplined whilst having great creativity with the ball in his hands.

This guy has Brad Stevens player all over him.
6'5" shooting guard, beautiful stroke and vision. Solid defneder.

Looking like a good 2nd round pick if we keep 1 or 2 of them.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

for what it is worth, draftexpress has the celtics taking him at #35. your wish may come true.

he did look good on offense in those clips. the team could do worse with a second round pick. looks to be a nice off the bench player.

tp for the find.

ha I didn't see that yet. I just saw he won ACC player of the year and was like 'who the heck is this guy?'.

Hwang if you didn't see it yet, check out Buddy Hield last week vs Baylor. This guy reminds me of Gilbert Arenas..he's older for a potential rookie but my oh my can he play some ball..

I like Brogdon a lot, he fits the identity of this team in that he can really defend.

However, I'm only in favor of this if we select a couple draft and stash guys in the first or make a trade to consolidate picks. I would prefer not to add more than 2 rookies to the team this summer.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Isn't it more advantageous to draft and stash 2nd rounders as it becomes easier to offer them contracts that would exceed the money they could get in Euro and so give them more incentive to come over once they start getting good?

Yes and no.  Given that a second-rounder like Mickey got more in years 1-3 than a first rounder like Hunter last year, I wouldn't be surprised if second round contracts start to get slotted in the next CBA. So while now that is the case, there is risk that wouldn't be the case in the future.

The really good draft and stash players will be gone by the end of the first, according to the mocks I've seen.

Since we have 3 firsts and I'd rather not have 3 rookies on the team next year, my preferred method involves either a trade or picking at least one draft and stash guy in the first.

I also really don't care what they do with the last 3 2nd round picks. I'm focused on their 5 picks in the top 35. If we are going to target a guy like Brogdon with one of our early 2nds, then for him to fit into the limited roster spaces we have it means we need to go with an additional draft and stash in the first (or a trade).

I'd be fine with more rookies on the roster in the event that we package one of our young players with a pick to move up. For example 3 rookies would be fine with me if we trade the Mavs pick and young to move up and grab a guy like Hield. Then I would be ok grabbing 3 players who are coming over immediately. However, if we add 3 rookies to the active roster next year, that leaves no room for picking Americans in the 2nd.

I am not on board with three more rookies for next year. This team is in compete mode and it doesn't need to be developing 6 of it's 15 roster spots with rookies or second year players that might as well be rookies because they got so little playing time this year. For me use that top pick and one other. My guess they use the Dallas pick and sell off every other pick that they don't use on a draft and stash foreign players but it wouldn't surprise me to see all the first rounders go out in a trade to a team for a potential star player and the C's only use the Philly 2nd rounder on a player to bring in while drafting and stashing the rest.

Exactly, draft and stash every pick besides the Brooklyn pick, become an incubating spurs team.

yeah, i know what you mean. this guy will be a scorer in the nba, no doubt. a possible flaw may be that he has been a gunner and not all that efficient in college.

but with CBS that might be solved. also, in college he had to be the go-to scorer. with the celtics, he would share the scoring more. he might thrive on this team.

but, given where the celtics will pick, they can get a better player i think. but who knows? maybe ainge loves him and moves back in the draft to get him.

i am really looking foward to this draft.  :)
