Isn't Crowder pretty much what we wanted Winslow to become? A scoring, lockdown defender.

Yeah it would be great to have both but with Crowder still being young I just wanted to say how much we lucked out.

Of course but Crowder can play the 4 for stretches so there would be enough minutes for both players.

I think Crowder is likely to be slightly better, but I certainly wanted Winslow last draft and would be happy to have him now...and of course we could have both. But, yes, I am very very happy with what we have in Crowder. I am pretty sure he has become my new favorite Celtic.

Speaking of which, would anybody trade our Brooklyn pick for Winslow if it ended up at 5/6? I am leaning towards yes.

Yes, I think Crowder represents something like a best case scenario for Winslow.  Even so, Winslow's ceiling might be even a bit higher, more like Ron Artest without the mental health issues.

They are the same height. Winslow has a longer wingspan and is much more explosive but Crowder is roughly 20 pounds heaivier.

Winslow has a higher ceiling but not by all that much. He was seen as a high level role player coming into the draft.

actually, not everyone wanted Winslow.  I wanted Johnson or Turner tbh.   didn't have the opportunity to pick any of them so it's water under the bridge.

I mean he's not Durant offensively, but you can't deny the significant improvements Crowder has made on the offensive end. Highest scoring per 36 of his career (16.3) and highest percentages by far of his career (45/35/82). He's not an elite offensive player by any means, but he's been more than respectable.

Yes, but at "min" Winslow will be worse than Crowder is now.

I personally think Winslow will improve a lot, but it's possible he doesn't. Like with Crowder, a lot of it will boil down to becoming a passable 3 point shooter, and there's no guarantee that happens.

Higher ceiling, but lower flow since he is earlier in his development.

Crowder is 25, has take huge strides in a very short time since coming to Boston, he is not yet in his prime, and he has room to grow. Most definitely not at his "max".

I loved Winslow last year (and that hasn't changed), but I'm not worried because we're getting the number two pick in the lottery and Brandon Ingram.  So it's okay.  Also we're getting Harrison Barnes in free agency.  We'll be a nightmare to go against the next several years.

These are the things I tell myself to not mourn the inJustise of last year's draft.

Winslow has a ton of work to go. He is no where the the player of. Crowder now.   And he may not have the work ethic to reach Crowder.

Look at that bum Green on MIAMI .....MR Athletic .......he plays like a scrub though .

Out of this world athleticism doesn't mean he ll be a star or even good.

Winslow has a. long  long way to go.
