Ehh, it's not that big of a deal. That was an absolutely terrible call, and Marc Davis is one of the worst/least-liked refs in the league. I can't really blame him, but it's a learning experience for him. 9 out of the top 10 players leading in technical fouls this season are All-Star level players, so it happens. As long as it doesn't affect the way he plays the game, I want him to continue to thrive on his emotions and learn when to control that emotion and subdue it.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I'm starting to feel like we should trade him and get him out of here.

It was a total foul on him. He pretty much tried to run through the guy. His lack of offensive game causes him to have these frustration fits. The only way to fix this is for him to actually learn how to score and be more efficient. Not sure that is going to happen any time soon.

Come on. You can't run through someone. Any unbiased fan would tell you that Smart fouled Calderon trying to get positioning.

You wanted to Keep Rondo but you're already trying to move on from Marcus? Cmon now...
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Rondo had offensive game.

Smart is a 36 percent shooter and his frustration fits is due to him sucking.

That's called "when you're one of the team's best players, you do a lot of talking to the officials". If techs could make you an allstar...

Well if the Refs are going to start tightening up the fouls on him on the defensive end, what part of his game is helping the Celtics? For the longest time his D was keeping him in the game. Now he's picking up bad fouls all the time.

Looking into the future, it's not looking good that after 2 years that he's still shooting 36 percent. If he can improve his shooting, he certainly has the skill set to be a great player but he needs to improve his shooting. And his drives. He's still having a tough time scoring at the rim.

At what point are people going to say that it's not ok for Smart to be shooting 36 percent?

Yes, Rondo is definitely known for his "offensive" game:-)))  Are you serious???  NBA defenders literally lay off of RR MORE than they do Smart!!!!

Im starting to think KeepRondo is the fan Marcus pushed when he was back in college. He jumps on anything to hate smart.

At what point are people going to say that it's not ok for Smart to be shooting 36 percent?

Probably when he stops getting, at least, honorable mention votes for All NBA defensive team.

If you criticize anyone for disrespecting referees, the last person you can rep is Rondo.

I guess if you want to make a blanket statement you can do that.

I wanted to keep Rondo because he was the only star we had. He was also a top 10 player at one time. Those days are long gone but Smart is no where close to Rondo's peak years.

Marcus needs to control himself but its hard not to sympathize with anyone frustrated by the asinine state of NBA officiating.  Honestly, you couldn't blame rookie players if one year they staged a collective one-game walk out over the unbelievably biased calls they have to deal with every night.
