I don't have any hopes for Clarke as a game changer, but I like this move.  Kid has been playing great for Maine, nice way to reward him and set a precedent for other Maine roster guys that if you play well and the right way we'll try to reward you.

Here's a clip from his last game.  He's playing way undersized at the 5 against a giant on the other team.  11 assists for the game.

Good find, chili.

Comments thus far disregard the move, but I would think this is meaningful on two fronts: 1. Celts think there's an off chance this kid could help in the frontcourt, and 2. Mickey isn't considered a clear solution to our issues, which is suggested often here.

This makes sense to me. Our rotation is full. When Olynyk comes back there will be even less minutes to go around.

They were never going to bring in vet, because there isn't time available for that vet. There haven't been anyone available on waivers that would be an upgrade to our current rotation. Even if there was the way in which it would hurt on court chemistry isn't worth it.

I've seen people saying we struck out on buy out free agents. I personally think they weren't willing to guarantee anyone playing time so they just kept it in house.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Clarke looks like another Jonathan Holmes.

Good signing. Can't expect much

can he handle the ball, post up, pass the ball, shoot, good bounce.

Haven't seen much of his defensive game, but looks like good athlete

big kid for 6'7.   Could slim up a little more.

anyone else know much about him?  good motor?  good iq?

A ten day contract when we are playing almost no games.  This looks like a practice move to me.

I held out hope that this might have been Keon Clarke.

He'll be a practice player for a couple weeks. Good for him.

Anyone thinking this kid has any chance of seeing any real playing time is deluding themselves though.

Exactly.  It's a body in workouts while Olynyk recovers and they let Amir rest.  And it's a reward for good play in Maine.
