At this point I'm convinced Valentine will be a good pro and it's likely he could be a 15 ppg 5rpg 5 apg trpe player. If we lose Turner he's a perfect fit.

He's the Anti Rondo. He gets huge assists numbers without holding the ball, if you back off him he nails the three. If you play him tight he hits the screener for a Layup. He almost always make the right decision.

Brown on the other hand has a low BBIQ right now, he's an off the charts athlete dynamic in transition and his shot is really improving down the stretch.

Both amazing young men. Brown offers unlimited Upside at 19, but needs to work on all areas of his have. Valentine is almost a finished product at 22 but if he continues to improve I actually think he could become an All Star alla Draymond Green.

An interesting question, I assume you mean like would you rather trade the Brooklyn pick right now for the rights to Brown or the Mavs pick right now for the rights to Valentine. I would be happy with both for both picks, but I chose Valentine because there is still a chance that the Brooklyn pick ends up 1 or 2 and I would much rather have Simmons or Ingram than Brown. But I think Valentine would be about as good as it gets with the Dallas pick.

Didn't really mean that, we should be able to draft both guys with those picks.

The thing is with the Nets pick we might be able to Draft Bender or Jakob Poeltl. I'd be pumped with one of those bigs + Valentine. Then simply sign Horford and Durant, and we are ready to rumble!

I don't know about that then because Brown should either go 3 or 4, and the Nets pick could end up being 5 or 6. As for Valentine, NBADraft.net has him at 16 and DraftExpress has him at 18. The Dallas pick is at 19, so he seems to be slightly more valuable than our Mavs pick right now. Like I said, I would be very happy if we had Brown, Valentine, BOS 16 1st, and all of our 2nds.

21 points and 10 assists with ten minutes left in the game. The pull up three on the break he just hit made me say wow this kid is good. So poised.

Player of the year over Hield IMHO.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I am really sold on Jaylen Brown.

He's a safe, very small chance of being a bust, and a pick still  with good upside of being special. He can at the very least, develop into a very good defensive wing because of his size, length and athleticism, capable of defending multiple positions. I really believe that's his basement, a Trevor Ariza kind of a defender in his prime. Anything else we get is gravy. He's a willing passer, high motor guy, not afraid to slash. I actually suggested that I would take him over Brandon Ingram. Iwould not pass on Brown.

As for Valentine, I'd love him too, but if we pick Brown, we'd be very log jammed on that wing spot with Crowder, Turner, Brown and now him. High IQ player, willing passer, can shoot decent and is looking like he's got the chops to become a good leader, really don't want to pass on a player like that, but will he get enough playing time for us?

Yoki I like both players as well. The thing I keep coming back to though is just how much Better Denzel is right now, he's even a much better defender.

Coach Stevens would love Valentine's game so much he would get tons of minutes, especially If Turner walks.

Yeah, he's turning into a very good defender, and with his shooting and his unselfishness, he would just fit right in.

I would love to have him.

Valentine.   He is going to be a steal

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets chosen somewhere in lottery range

senior or not,  his complete game is impressive.  Izzo calls him Draymond green of  G-SF version

perfect replacement for Turner.  And Valentine has a higher potential .  Better shooter,  tighter handles and better passer.

If we don't get in the top 2 I would love to see us trade the pick for Jahlil Okafor. He is more of a sure thing and has already established himself as an NBA player with potential.
