The whole team reminds me of Pistons with the no star*, tough play, underdogs and roles.
-IT is Billups because of big shots taken and leader of team.
-AB is Rip. Decent D, quick and works off screens often 2nd scorer.
-Crowder is Prince good hard D and rebounds also some offense at times.
-Smart is Hunter. The defender off the bench.
-Sully is 50% Wallace for rebounding and paint strength.
-AJ is the vet Campbell.
-Turner is Mike James doing his thang off bench.
-KO is Okur the stretch big man.
-Mickey is Williams small role defender.
-Young is Darko the some what wasted draft pick.

They are missing Rasheed*/Cousins*  to win their championship  ;D

TP and agree...nice analogy, that Piston team hung it's hat on defense, attitude, chemistry and toughness, with enough scoring to win. The C's are a few pieces short right now, we need to make sure those pieces are the right pieces. We need a center, and a scoring 2/3 wing.

No one.
I have never seen a player of that size do what IT does.
And I have been watched pro basketball for 50 years.

Not a bad allegory. But you'd need the other 50% of Big Ben as well.

And we'd also need a toxic situation like the Lakers with Shaq, Kobe, Malone, and Payton to get that title.  We could get that in the ECF with the Cavs.  But we're not getting that in the Finals with the Warriors or Spurs.

True but Cousins is better than Sheed so hoping that is the difference if C's trade Nets pick for him.

Dana Barros.

Damon Stoudamire.

I think he's better than those guys, but then again, those guys played in the 90s when handchecking and full-on aggravated assault were allowed within the rules.

As usual I see references to the Pistons championship teams and I notice a dreadful underappreciation of Ben Wallace.

A huge difference between us and that Pistons team is that we are actually fun to watch
